Merry Christmas beautiful people. With the birth of an innocent, vulnerable, baby boy Grace was born. He lived amongst us. He taught, he loved, he healed, he experienced all the pains and joys of being human. He would grow to be a great man and bear our sins upon a cross. That's the Christmas story. God born into human form to dwell among us. That's amazing. But then to become the atonement for our sins. That's amazing. We celebrate his birth and his death, but the Christmas story is also the celebration of his return. Though he once humbled himself and came as a defenseless child and became the sacrificial lamb laying down his life that we may live. This time, he will return as Lion, as King, as the groom to retrieve his bride.
May you find God while he can be found. May Jesus become your Savior and your Lord. May you make peace with God and give this world all you have to give. May you love, may you grieve, may you love and live abundantly. May your light shine bright. May the salt in your spirit battle against the darkness of this place. May your children grow to be strong men and women of God. May their lives be blessed and fruitful and may you join us on that glorious day when we get to stand before the throne and hear the words, "well done."
Today we celebrate not just the birth and death of this glorious wonderful man named Jesus but we celebrate the promise that one day all of the darkness, hurt, evil, and tribulation of this life will no longer be, even death will be defeated and we will all enter into eternity.
It's a celebration of eternity. I ask you today. Will you live in eternity with God or an eternity without him? The choice is yours and the day to choose is now.
The way has been paved, the truth is before you. The abundant life your soul longs to have and his name is Jesus.
Merry Christmas
