Dash Crofts, half of the Seals and Crofts singing duo hugely popular during the 1970s, has died from complications from heart surgery at age 87. Dash was the one who played mandolin and sang high harmony to Jimmy Seals who sang low harmony and played guitar. Seals and Crofts were Baha'is who included their faith in the inspiration to their songs, sometimes using direct quotes from Baha'i Scripture. Jimmy Seals died in 2022.

On Thursday, March 26, Seals & Crofts' producer Louie Shelton confirmed Dash Crofts' death in a Facebook post. He was 87.
