Augustana Lutheran Church - Tonawanda

Augustana Lutheran Church - Tonawanda Sunday worship 9:30 am, in the church and on Zoom. All are invited! "You shall love your neighbor as yourself"
(Luke 10:27). We also worship via Zoom.

We welcome the doubters, the seekers, those of every race, culture, age, gender identity and expression, and sexual orientation. Our worship, at 9:30 on Sundays, is traditional and welcoming, and includes a children's sermon. Contact the church to receive a Zoom invitation (716) 832-5730 /[email protected]. We celebrate communion each week and enjoy uplifting music. We are engaged in outreach

throughout the year and invite the community to participate. The largest outreach program at Augustana is the Refugee and Immigrant Driving Program, which is coordinated with area agencies that serve refugees, and is the only program of its kind in WNY. Last Sunday, Pastor Adam Arends led 4 churches in a terrific outdoor worship service: St. Timothy (Grand Island), Augustana, Good Shepherd (Tonawanda) and Trinity Old Lutheran (Amherst). Worship was followed by a picnic, and the intermittent rain did not dampen our spirits! Pastor Arends summed up his message by reminding us that Jesus said we are known to be Christians by our actions, our love.
Tomorrow's worship service is at Augustana at our usual time of 9:30 am. Visitors are always invited!

Hi everyone, we are having a Community Baby shower on September 13 at 10:30 am, after our 9:30 church service - and everyone is invited! Enjoy cake, games and meeting new people as you help babies who receive services from Harvest House and Response to Love. Donations of new (unwrapped) baby items are gratefully accepted - clothes, blankets, disposable diapers, and other baby gear. This is Augustana's 'God's Work. Our Hands' project, which is a national day of service in the ELCA Lutheran church, and it was initiated by St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Williamsville. Hello everyone, Please join us at our joint outdoor worship service on Sunday, August 30 at 10:00 am at Veteran's Park in the City of Tonawanda, Shelter #2. Veteran's Park is at 777 Niagara Street. A picnic lunch will follow the service. Please BYO chair if possible. This will be a joint service with the congregations of 4 ELCA Lutheran churches: Augustana, Trinity Old Lutheran, Good Shepherd and St. Timothy. We are all collecting items for Good Shepherd's pantry: canned soup, laundry detergent, and men's and women's white socks. Hope to see you there! Invite your friends and neighbors.
