We have access to God through Jesus

The OT has numerous accounts of regular men who died because they were unauthorized to approach Him or who were not authorized to perform the holy rituals of the tabernacle.
Uzzah touched the ark and died.
Nadab and Abihu used unauthorized fire, strange fire and were consumed by fire from God.
Koran, Dathan and Abiram rebelled against Moses and Arron and claimed themselves priest, entered the tabernacle and the ground opened up and swallowed their families also. 250 men also died.

But you are now a child of God. You can enter His presence without fear because of Jesus. He made a way into His presence,,,, come boldly, with confidence into His throne. You are a child of the king most high. Amen.

Another blessing and result of your justification by faith
… is that you have access to God. Wow! The creator of the whole universe, our holy God , invited us to come near.

Ephesians 3:12: "In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence”

Rejoice, Boast, Exult,,,

The numerous wonderful blessings as a result of being justified by faith alone,,,

And the first blessing in Romans chapter five is we have peace with God. Wow.
We were alienated, hostile towards God in our minds, we were enemies of God, we were destined to hell because God is a Holy God who hates sin. BUT because He is also a patient loving God, He sent His son Jesus to died on the cross for you and me, because you believed in Him now you are a child of God. Hallelujah!
Who dares to wake up a king 3am for a cup of water,,,, only a child of the king of kings because the barrier that separated us from Him is removed through the blood of Jesus. Amen. So rejoice!
What an awesome God we serve.

“If you abide in me and my word abide in you, you shall ask whatever you DESIRE, and it will be done for you.” John 15:7

There are desires. Desire to be a good godly father to my wife and kids. I have a desire to add another bedroom because my 11 year old daughter is quickly becoming a teenager and she need a separate bedroom from the one she currently shares with her little brother, etc.
those are good desire among other that we all desire.
Some of you desire a good paying job, some desire healing, some desire to find someone to share you life with, some want family to come back together…
All those are excellent desires.

But before all the desire we have there are some foundational godly desire all Christians should have.
1. To know God
2. To love God
3. To glorify God in all that we do.

Bible says seek FIRST the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added into you.

Shall we keep on sinning

After Paul’s deals with your justification, in Romans chapter six deals with your positional sanctification. This happen at that moment you were saved. Sanctification means being set apart. This process of your continual sanctification after you were saved is called progressive sanctification and that happens when you begin your life in Jesus, dying daily to self and renewing your mind.

Paul begins the chapter with a dangerous and misunderstanding that might come with believing that because of grace we should continue in sin that grace might abound more.

Paul says No!
“How shall we who died live in sin any longer?

What?! I died?
Yes. Paul says “as many of us as were baptized into Christ were baptized into His death.”

Your Will, Not Mines

As a child of God you have the will of God and your own will in you. Ultimately, you have a choice to do either the will of God or your own will because God gave us free will… to choose to do His will or simply do our own.
I want you to understand choosing to do our will is not only failure to act on faith but choosing to do your will leads to disappointment, despair, destruction, and lastly it leads to death.
Bible tells us we have to Holy Spirit who gives us strength to do His will and it always leads life and relishing the presence of God.
Now doing the will of God will not always be easy. Look at Jesus in the garden of Gethsamane. In th end He choose to do His Father s will. He said “the flesh is weak but the Spirit is willing”
The Spirt always points to the will of God.
We are men of feelings, men of emotions and most of the time we let our emotions dictate our choices, say for example relationships especially in dating. God is solid in His word not to be equally yoked with unbelievers and yet our emotions blinds us from seeing the truth or causes us to compromise with God by saying that the unbelieving person can get saved. That is not what the Bible says.
In the end our emotions override the will of God.
Choose to do the will of God no matter the cost and in the end God will bless your obedience in faith.
I’m talking from experience here and I’m glad I choose to do the will of God. It was a difficult decision but I’m glad I obeyed.

Good Friday

Today Jesus willing died on the cross for our sin. He became the unblemished lamb of God, the ultimate sacrifice, the only sacrifice that would please His Father.
He cried out “Father Father, why did you forsake me?” …. As the sin of the world was laid on Him because God is a holy God. So much darkness fell on Jerusalem.
Thank you Jesus, for dying in my place. Thank you thank thank you

You are child of God. Jesus died for you and now you are living a resurrected life! A new creation!
You went from:

Guilty to NOT GUILTY!
Death to LIFE!
Darkness to LIGHT!
Hatred to LOVE!
Weakness to POWER!
Bo***ge to FREEDOM!
Tribulation to TRIUMP!
Grief to JOY!i
Gloom to GLORY!
Defeat to VICTORY!
Failure to SUCESS!
Fear to FAITH!
And from “I can’t” to “I can with Jesus”!

Hallelujah. My friend, brother, sister, know your identity in Christ Jesus. Amen
