Here is a deeper dive into last night's post.
Here is how you can look at your current relationships:
1. Identifying a "Season"
The Feeling: It feels temporary, situational, or context-driven (work, school, a specific project).
The Signs: You only talk when you need something related to that situation. When the situation changes, the friendship fades naturally without much drama.
How to Handle: Enjoy the camaraderie for what it is, but don't force a deeper connection than what the situation allows.
2. Identifying a "Lesson"
The Feeling: It often feels difficult, confusing, or painful. These relationships might trigger insecurity or challenge your boundaries.
The Signs: You feel drained, frustrated, or like you are constantly repeating the same argument or pattern. You learn a lot about what you don't want in life.
How to Handle: Focus on what they are teaching you about yourself rather than focusing on fixing them. Once the lesson is learned, it is often necessary to distance yourself.
3. Identifying a "Blessing"
The Feeling: It feels easy, supportive, and reciprocal. You feel safe and authentic around them.
The Signs: They celebrate your wins without jealousy and support you during failures without judgment. Time spent with them rejuvenates you.
