Serve Team Spotlight is back! 🙌

Every month, we want to take a moment to celebrate a few of the incredible people who faithfully serve our church family. This month, we’re highlighting three people serving in three different areas — but each reflects the same thing: a servant heart and a willingness to use their gifts to love others and help make disciples.

Take a moment to read what their ministry leaders have shared about them in each photo. ❤️

To each of you — and to everyone who serves so faithfully behind the scenes and out front — thank you. The Brook is better because you show up, serve with joy, and invest in others.

This is what generosity looks like. ❤️

Because of the faithful giving of our church family, The Brook was able to help Port Arthur City Church purchase new AC units for their Kids and Student Ministry buildings — creating better spaces for the next generation to gather, grow, and hear about Jesus.

Pastor Julian Martinez sent us this heartfelt thank you, but we want to pass that thanks along to you. Your generosity is making a difference beyond the walls of The Brook, and we’re grateful to be a church that gets to bless and encourage other churches as they share the Hope of Jesus in their communities.

What a Sunday at The Brook! ❤️

Family Worship Sunday brought a packed house in all three services as generations worshiped together — and yes, it got a little warmer than we planned! 😅 The good news: the AC issues have been worked out, so we’ll be ready (and cool!) this Sunday.

A huge thank you to everyone who got up early and helped make room by joining us at 8:15! We hope the fresh coffee, donuts, and kolaches made that alarm clock a little easier. ☕🍩

Best of all, we ended the morning celebrating new life in Jesus through baptism. A full house, a church family worshiping together, and a beautiful reminder of what it’s all about… real people finding real Hope in Jesus!

Tomorrow is Family Worship Sunday! 🙌

On the last Sunday of every month, our kids and students join their families in the Worship Center — and with all the growth we’re experiencing, that means our later services can get pretty full!

If you can, help us make room by joining us at 8:15 AM tomorrow. We’ll have fresh, hot coffee, donuts, and kolaches waiting for you! ☕🍩

And with a full house comes a full parking lot. Overflow parking is available along the street behind the church, in the Blue Bell lot, or across Buvinghausen at Racks for the Road.

Scott grew up around religion, but says he never really knew Jesus personally. For years, church was something he was willing to do for his children — but after coming to The Brook, finding community, and finally feeling at home, something began to change in his own heart.

Scott describes it simply: he let his guard down and accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior.

We love celebrating the way God meets people personally, draws them to Himself, and gives them new life in Christ. Scott, we’re grateful to celebrate your baptism and this beautiful step of faith with you!

Color Wars did not disappoint! 🎨

Our 7th–12th grade students kicked off the school year with plenty of color, competition, laughter, worship, and time together — but nights like this are about so much more than the fun.

We’re incredibly grateful for our amazing team of student ministry volunteer leaders who consistently go above and beyond to show up, build relationships, speak truth, and pour into the next generation. They give their time and energy because they believe these students matter and want them to know and follow Jesus.

Thank you, leaders, for investing in lives with an impact that reaches far beyond one colorful night. ❤️
