I’m so human!!! ❤️🥰

Today is Pentecost… the day Jesus introduced the Holy Spirit to His disciples. To many, it’s considered the birthday of the Church!

This morning Devin and I (A Change of Plans) were blessed to be part of a unique service at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church -Oak Harbor OH…in their parking lot. The congregation pulls in, rolls down their windows, or tunes their car radios to hear the service.

And this morning, while getting ready, my very human brain thought:
“The Holy Spirit…in a parking lot?!” 😅

I’ve experienced the Holy Spirit in nature, in beautiful sanctuaries, and in my car singing praise songs at the top of my lungs…but a parking lot just felt so open. My silly brain actually thought:

“How could it contain the Holy Spirit? Wouldn’t it just float away?” 🤣

(Yes, please laugh at my ridiculous humanity…because I am too!)

But as Devin and I practiced “Holy Spirit,” my eyes locked onto the community water tower proudly displaying our town’s name. And suddenly God shifted my perspective.

The Holy Spirit wasn’t just in that parking lot.

He wasn’t confined to four church walls.

He was covering our entire community.

As I sang:
“Holy Spirit You are welcome here
Come flood this place and fill the atmosphere
Your Glory God is what our hearts long for
To be overcome by Your Presence Lord”-by Bryan and Katie Torwalt

…I stopped singing a song and started praying a prayer.

I prayed every person in our little town would feel the peace, comfort, conviction, and love of the Holy Spirit today.

God continues to remind me that His presence is so much bigger than buildings, traditions, or the limits of my human understanding.

And honestly…I’m thankful He’s patient enough to keep teaching me through my silliness. ❤️

Today make every effort you can to feel that fire of the Holy Spirt, sometimes it washes over us like a flood and sometimes sits quietly waiting for us to realize it’s there. Whichever way it is for you, I pray today you feel it!

Sanctuary in the Sun (aka Parking Lot Service) is BACK for the season...starting this Sunday, May 25 @ 9:30 AM! We have special guests, A Change of Plans, providing pre-service music and a special performance during worship. All are welcome to join...come in your car and stay in your car 😄...all while worshiping!

Yesterday was one of those days I’ll never forget. 💖

Getting to serve at Elmore Church of God on my son’s graduation day was emotional in all the best ways. Between celebrating a huge milestone as a mom and standing where God has called me to serve, my heart was overflowing with gratitude.

Special thanks to my daughter, Shelby Kate for joining me! And always thanks to Devin for sharing his talents!!

Thank you to everyone who showed love, supported our family, worshipped with us, and made the day so special. Watching God weave ministry and motherhood together in the same moment is something I’ll treasure forever.

And now…onto the next two Sundays! 🙌

I’m so excited for the opportunity to continue sharing music, testimony, and worship with more amazing church families in the weeks ahead. God keeps opening doors, and I never want to take a single one for granted.

Thankful for every church that welcomes us, every hand we get to shake, every song we get to sing, and every story God allows us to share. The journey continues… and I can’t wait to see what He does next. ❤️

Sunday, May 17 Elmore Church of God — 10:30am 💖

Next Sunday is my son’s Graduation Day… and yes, I’m a little crazy for adding this into an already emotional day, but Jesus comes first. 🥰

Part of me is so excited for this next chapter in his life, and the other part of me is holding tightly to every last second with that little boy I raised who somehow became a man way too fast.

Because this day is so special to me, it felt right to share a special service at a place that has become very special to my heart. A message I pray you find peace and comfort in no matter how old you are!

I’ll be sharing “A Letter to My Younger Self” and speaking on 3 lessons life continues to teach me over and over again — lessons of faith, growth, grace, and trusting God through every season.

I’m also incredibly honored to be joined by my daughter, Shelby Kate, whose musical ministry will help bring even deeper meaning to these lessons. There is nothing sweeter to a mama’s heart than serving Jesus alongside her children.🥹

We would truly love for you to join us Sunday morning.

Thursday morning started in the best way—sharing time with the Oak Harbor Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)! 🙌

When I was asked to speak (thanks to my son, Trace ❤️), I spent a lot of time thinking about what these young Christians truly needed to hear. I kept coming back to one simple idea: say what you needed to hear at their age.

So I wrote a letter to my younger self…centered around three life lessons that have shown up again and again in my life:

✨ He’ll Never Fail You
✨ It will be okay
✨ You can always change your mind

I’m so excited to share this message again at Elmore Church of God on Sunday, May 17 at 10:30am!

This service will be extra special with music from my daughter, Shelby and my brother-in-music, Devin Frank A Change of Plans 🎶

And if you’re thinking, “I’m not a member…”—neither are we! Come experience the warmth and welcome of this incredible congregation.

My heart is so full as I prepare for a very special service at Elmore Church of God on Sunday, May 17 at 10:30am. This day is extra meaningful—it’s also my son’s high school graduation day… so yes, you can officially call me a little crazy for adding this to an already busy day! But Jesus 1st!!🙏🏼

This service is something deeply personal. I’ll be sharing a “Letter to My Younger Self” and the lessons life has taught me along the way—the highs, the struggles, and the grace that carried me through it all.
