Congratulations to our 2nd graders who received their First Holy Communion this weekend!

We believe Jesus is truly present to us in the Eucharist, and what a gift it is to be welcomed so close to Him in such a personal way. We are grateful and joyful that these children can now receive the Lord in Holy Communion, and we pray that the graces of this sacrament strengthen them today and always.

Thank you to Fr. Keith, Deacon Chris, our staff, and our catechists for the time and care you poured into preparing our students. And thank you to our families for leading your children toward Jesus and supporting them on this beautiful day.

๐ŸŸFish Fry Fridays at Most Blessed Sacrament! ๐ŸŸ

Weโ€™re excited to welcome everyone to our Fish Fry Dinners at the Donnelly Neighborhood Center. If a great fish fry is your kind of night, this is the place to be. Come hungry, bring a friend, and enjoy a fun, easy evening with a seriously good meal, familiar faces, and a community thatโ€™s glad youโ€™re here. These dinners are a major fundraiser for our parish, and every bit of support helps keep this tradition strong.

Want to be part of what makes it happen?
โ€ข Volunteer for a shift and join a well run, friendly operation. Setup, serving, dining room help, carry out, cleanup, every role matters and is truly appreciated.
โ€ข Become a Sponsor and help support the parish financially while making these nights possible. Sponsors are recognized on our weekly sponsor board, social media, and in the bulletin, and several levels include dinner tickets as a thank you.

Sponsor Levels:
โญ $500 Gold Sponsor (includes 4 Fish Fry dinner tickets)
๐Ÿ’™ $250 Blue Sponsor (includes 2 Fish Fry dinner tickets)
๐Ÿฅˆ $100 Silver Sponsor (includes 2 Fish Fry dinner tickets)

Support Blessed Sacrament School Through the Ohio SGO Tax Credit Program

There is a remarkable opportunity for families, parishioners, alumni, and friends of Blessed Sacrament School to provide scholarship support to our students at no additional cost to you. As residents of Ohio, individuals may donate any amount up to $750, and married couples filing jointly may donate up to $1,500, to an approved Scholarship Granting Organization. In return, the State of Ohio will provide a dollar for dollar tax credit that can be applied directly to your 2025 Ohio tax return.

This means that as long as your Ohio tax liability is equal to or greater than your donation amount, you can donate up to $750 or $1,500 and receive the same amount back as a credit. As an example, if you owe $150 in Ohio income tax, you may donate $150 through the SGO and your state tax liability becomes zero. If you decide to donate $300, you will receive $150 back as a refund from the State of Ohio. Please consult your tax advisor for how this applies to your personal situation.

The Diocese of Toledo Scholarship Fund is the official SGO for all diocesan Catholic schools. Donations made through this fund can be designated for Blessed Sacrament School. One hundred percent of the contributions received and designated for our school will be awarded directly to our families in the form of scholarships. These funds help bridge the gap between EdChoice vouchers and actual tuition costs, making a Catholic education more accessible. In 2025, Blessed Sacrament School was able to award scholarships to sixteen students through the generosity of donors participating in this program.

To make a contribution, visit www.dotsgo.org. Select the Donate option and choose either the online giving form or the check option. You may then designate Blessed Sacrament School as the recipient. You may donate at any time, and donations made by April 15, 2026 can still be applied to your 2025 Ohio tax return.

If you have questions about how the SGO program works or would like additional assistance, please contact Dan Dougherty, Director of Mission Advancement for the Diocese of Toledo, at [email protected] or 419-214-4951.

Thank you for considering this meaningful opportunity to support Catholic education and help more students receive the gift of a Blessed Sacrament School education.

Congratulations to our 8th Grade Confirmation candidates, who received the Sacrament of Confirmation from Bishop Daniel E. Thomas last night at Rosary Cathedral.

We give thanks to God for this important moment in the lives of these young disciples. Strengthened by the gifts of the Holy Spirit, they have been sealed in Confirmation and sent forth to live their Catholic faith with greater courage, conviction, and joy.

We are grateful to Bishop Thomas, to our families and sponsors, and to all who helped support our candidates throughout their preparation. Please continue to pray for our newly confirmed, that they may remain close to the Lord and be faithful witnesses to the Gospel.

Come, Holy Spirit.

The Annual Catholic Appeal 2026 is underway, and we invite our parish family to prayerfully consider taking part in this important diocesan effort.

The Annual Catholic Appeal is the primary fundraising initiative across our 19-county Diocese of Toledo, uniting every parish in supporting the work of the Church beyond the walls of our own parish. Through the ACA, lives are touched through Catholic education, charitable outreach, spiritual formation, pastoral ministry, parish assistance, and many other essential programs that serve people at every stage of life.

The diocesan goal for 2026 is $3.25 million, and every gift, no matter the size, plays a role in helping the Church carry out this mission. Gifts may be made as a one-time donation or pledged over time, with payments completed by December 31, 2026.

Parishes that exceed their goal receive 25% of the amount raised over their goal, returned directly to the parish without diocesan assessment, strengthening both the wider Church and our local community.

We encourage you to watch this short video from the Diocese of Toledo to learn more about the impact of the Annual Catholic Appeal:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWuKzipWsVQ

We ask all families to keep the Annual Catholic Appeal in prayer and to consider making a gift in support of the work of Christ carried out through our Diocese.

You are invited to Forgiven, a parish video series and discussion focused on experiencing the mercy of God in Confession.

Sin, guilt, failure, and disappointment are part of the human experience, but we are not meant to carry them alone. Forgiven helps us rediscover the Sacrament of Reconciliation as a personal, healing, and life-changing encounter with Godโ€™s mercy.

As a parish community, we will gather to watch this video series together and engage in guided discussion, Scripture, and reflection. All are welcome, and no prior experience is necessary.

๐Ÿ“ Kelly Room
๐Ÿ•ข Saturdays, 8:30โ€“10:30am
๐Ÿ“… February 21, February 28, March 7, March 14, March 21

Whether you come regularly to Confession or have been away for some time, this is an opportunity to grow, reflect, and encounter Godโ€™s love in a deeper way.
