Join us as an artist or spectator for our Annual Sylvania Plein Air Festival August 2nd - August 7th

The Sylvania Plein Air festival welcomes over 100 artists from across the U.S. and Canada to downtown Sylvania for a four day outdoor painting en plein air event.

Picturesque Sylvania offers the artist many landscape and architectural options including inclusive and accessible residential and commercial areas all conveniently nestled between beautiful parks, river trails, historic homes and more.

Second Award $750
Third Award $500

Emerging:
Best of Show $200
Second Award $150
Third Award $100

Purchase prize awards (over $7000)
Athena Art Society prize: $250

Exhibition and sales will take place During our Red Bird First Friday, August 7th at our local galleries and Heritage Sylvania.
Artwork will remain on display through the 22nd for the community to purchase!

A beautiful bouquet bar will be available at Beautiful Blooms by Jen on Main Street. Buy flowers for your favorite artist or winner to celebrate the evening!

Look for business and store events throughout the week and evening of First Friday as well!

Visit the Ohio Statehouse to see an art exhibit, "America the Beautiful: Celebrating 250 Years," created by members of the Athena Art Society, Inc. It is one of the oldest women's art organizations in the country, founded in Toledo in 1903.

Statehouse tours are free and start at 12, 1, 2 and 3 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
