God is so good!! We have a shawl and an afghan on the altar. Please pray that, who ever is hurting, and who ever needs to feel God's blessing and the healing arms of Jesus, they will do so to the person wearing the shawl or covered by the afghan. Busy Cross Hands have been busy. We will pray for recipient of the crochet afghan and the knitted prayer shawl. Thanks to our 'Busy Cross Hands' ladies at Church of the Cross. Join us on Sat. February 22, at 11-2. We accept grocery bags again. Weaving mats is so much easier, than crocheting. Some people bring cut bags. Thanks Grace Zab. Thanks to Kristina N.
If you have yarn or cotton fabric, please give to Agneta at church. If you are a scrap book person, help us by making cute, blank or scripted. I would like to enclose a cute card with each prayer quilt, afghan, shawl. They are gifted to people who are going through a difficult time whether physical or emotional. We had a productive day today. A great big thank you to our new members to our group. Our friends Jane and her sister Jean are "queens" of crochet. Thank you to my daughter who made plarn for my mats. I am weaving them now. Please bring your plastic grocery sacks again. For the women who have stash of yarn.... we will use it, what ever you have. Give to Agneta at church.

"Busy Cross hands" is a volunteer group that meets on 4th Saturday each month at Church of the Cross, 1750 Eastgate, Toledo from 11-2. We currently make crochet lap blankets, and crochet or weave mats for the homeless using grocery bags. Some make simple prayer quilts that are given to hospital or to someone going through a difficult time. Anyone can come and be part of Busy Cross Hands. Once we have a consistent number of women and men, we will start accepting requests for prayer quilts. NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED. All you need is wanting something to do and want to keep hands busy, and a wish to help others.. And in the process, You may learn a new skill😇. Refreshments will be served. Join us on Saturday, 11/23 at 11 - 2. We are crocheting lap blankets. The blankets will be blessed before we give them out. Our pattern we found simplest is the granny squares. Tomorrow, Saturday October 26 we will meet at Church of the Cross from 11 - 2. Bring yarn and crochet hook. We will be making lap blankets for people in nursing home. You decide color, pattern and also bring a cheerful heart.
Let's make some soft, brightly colored lap blankets.
