We were blessed to be joined by Stan McMorris this morning. He brought his guitar and sang ,"Mary, Did You Know?"
He gave a powerful presentation and he is so generous to share with us.
Thank you, Stan. You are welcome any time!

Today, we laid to rest our sister in Christ, Dorothy Cutright. She passed away on December 16, 2025. She lived on this earth nearly 96 years.
Born at the McCandlish family home in Cottonwood township, near Toledo, IL. She grew up with two sisters, Carolyn and Donna and a brother, Bruce. She married George Cutright in 1948. They were married about 71 years and raised three children: Elizabeth Anne, George, and Neil.
She made her home in Ohio, Mexico, Rio de Janeiro, and Miami, and finally returned to Cottonwood Township.
She always remained active in her church and community and was a blessing to all she helped.
She and her husband, George, established the Neil R. Cutright Memorial Scholarship, which provides a full scholarship each year to a Cumberland High School graduate at Eastern Illinois University.
We miss her deeply, but rejoice that she has gone to her heavenly reward with her Savior. Rest in Peace, Dorothy.

As we anticipate this third Sunday of Advent, Cottonwood will not hold services at the church on December 14th, but instead invite all to shine with hope and light in their own communities, as we await the coming of Jesus, lighting the way through darkness with the candle of Joy.
