Sin is simply “missing the mark.”

It’s not just about rules…
it’s about the separation that happens when we drift away from God’s heart, truth, and will for our lives.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” — Romans 3:23

This conversation isn’t about condemnation or acting “holier than thou.” It’s about understanding why sin matters, why conviction matters, and why God continually calls us back to Him with love, mercy, and grace.

The church cannot heal what it refuses to talk about.

The Bible doesn’t list just one sin.

In 1 Corinthians 5 and throughout scripture, God addresses sexual immorality, adultery, greed, pride, corruption, fornication, drunkenness, hypocrisy, and much more.

But somewhere along the way, many people became comfortable spotlighting one sin while ignoring the others.

Truth requires balance.
Conviction requires honesty.
And the church cannot afford selective preaching.

Not all childhood trauma comes from parents or family members.

Some wounds came from people outside the home…
people we trusted…
people who should have protected us.

And many people carry those silent wounds into adulthood while pretending they’re okay.

Healing starts when we finally acknowledge the pain instead of burying it.
