The Bible contains promises, made by God, upon which we can depend. And we should. But sometimes, especially when we find ourselves caught in the everyday entanglements of living, we fail to trust God completely.

Are you tired? Discouraged? Fearful? Trust the promises God has made to you, and be comforted. Are you worried or anxious? Be confident in God's power. Listen to the quiet voice of your heavenly Father. He is not a God of confusion. Talk with Him, trust Him. Honor Him in all your do, and He will give you success.

When you have a question you can't answer, whom do you ask? When you face a difficult decision, to whom do you turn for counsel? To friends? To mentors? To family members? Or do you turn first to the ultimate source of wisdom? The answers to life's big questions start with God and with the wisdom and promises contained in His Word.

When you take your concerns to your heavenly Father, He will not turn you away: He will provide answers that are tested and true.

You live in a world that seeks to snare your attention and lead you away from God. Each time you're tempted to distance yourself from God, you face a spiritual crisis. In fact, life can be seen as one test after another - and with each crisis comes yet another opportunity to grow closer to God...if you choose to adhere to His plan for your life.

Today you will face many opportunities to say yes to your heavenly Father - and you'll encounter many opportunities to say no to Him. How you respond will determine not just the quality of your day but the direction of your life. All of us have made mistakes. Sometimes our troubles result from our own stubborn rebellion against God's commandments. Sometimes we're swept up in events that are beyond our control. Under either set of circumstances, we may experience feelings of guilt. But God has a solution for the guilt we feel. That answer is His forgiveness.

When we confess and turn away from wrongdoing, the One who created us promises to forgive us. He will forgive you completely and without reservation.

The most powerful life is the most simple life. The most powerful life is the life that knows where it's going, that knows where the source of strength is, and the life that stays free of clutter and happenstance and hurriedness.

Being busy is not a sin. Jesus was busy. Paul was busy. Nothing of significance is achieved without effort and hard work and weariness. Being busy, in and of itself, is not a sin. But being busy in an endless pursuit of things that leave us empty and hollow and broken inside--that cannot be pleasing to God.

Our passions, possessions, and pride--these are all dead things. When we try to get life out of dead things, the result is only weariness and dissatisfaction.

Just trust. Not direct. Or question...Our job is to pray and wait.
