Please join me in offering prayerful congratulations to Father David J. Bonnar, who today was named by the Holy Father as the new Bishop of Youngstown! A priest and pastor of the Diocese of Pittsburgh for 32 years, he served also as chaplain to the Steelers for 12 years! We welcome Bishop Elect Bonnar to the State of Ohio, to Episcopal Region VI, and to our Ohio Catholic Family! May the Lord fill you with every grace as you prepare for your ordination and installation as Bishop of Youngstown on January 12, 2021, in the Cathedral of St Columba!
