Toledo
We care about this place, this city, this Maumee watershed because this is where we live and love. This is where we proclaim with words and actions the good news of the Kingdom of God in Toledo as it is in Heaven. Mennonite
We are heirs of the radical Anabaptist reformation of 16th century Europe. We are a peace church. And we are part of the world-wide Christian church built on the foundation of Christ Jesus. At our best, we Mennonites have always been dreamers who take the teachings of Jesus seriously. We don’t always get it right. We sometimes forget the grace and spirit of God and think it all depends on our hard work and good effort. But we keep dreaming en route to becoming people who are called out of darkness into God’s marvelous light. Church
We worship Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior, and we seek to live as a new community formed by his life, death, and resurrection. We are called together by God’s Spirit to love God, neighbor, and even our enemies. By God’s resurrection power at work within us, we desire to grow in Christ-likeness, to worship God in spirit and truth, to seek peace, to build justice, to serve others, and to live humbly.

A favorite fall tradition for TMC is apple gleaning at Erie Orchards!
Last weekend we gleaned 57 boxes of apples for missions around the Toledo area, and, of course, had a lot of fun doing it!

Sunday's World Communion worship service

Pastor Joel taught the youth about the scroll in Revelation 5, and later the congregation came to the Table for the Bread and the Cup. This service is always a meaningful one!

John 10:27
Jesus says, "My sheep listen to my voice. I know them and they follow me."

We began a new sermon series on Sunday entitled, "Follow the Voice of the Good Shepherd."

We live in a noisy world in which it can be hard to hear the voice of the Good Shepherd. Many strangers and outlaws and thieves try to bypass Jesus in order to influence the sheep in ways that ultimately steal, kill and destroy. How can we as God's flock stay true to the voice of our Good Shepherd whose desire is for us to live life to the fullest?

To help us in this quest, we will be using the "Spiritual Guides" series from Plough Publishing. The guides highlighted in the series are Christ-centered in their theology and in their ethics. They speak to us having first come through the gate of Christ. They are faithful shepherds who point us to The Good Shepherd. In their voices, we recognize something good and beautiful and true that sounds like Jesus.

We hope you can join us as we focus on our Good Shepherd and listening for his voice these coming weeks!
