What is Your Declaration?

“He will cover you with his feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday” (Ps. 91:4–6 NIV).

The psalmist here gives us the best reason ever not to live in fear. “You will not fear” is a declarative statement. How can he make such a bold statement? Because he trusts in the Lord and who He is. “I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust’” (Ps. 91:2, NIV).

Is the Lord your refuge, your fortress, someone you can trust? I can assure you that is what He wants to be. “If you make the Most High your dwelling—even the Lord, who is my refuge—then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent” (Ps. 91:9–10, NIV).

God has given you the same opportunity to declare what you believe. “You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you; so light will shine on your ways” (Job 22:28). Your tongue can declare your future and that of your family. God has given us a free will, and we can speak life or death into any situation. Solomon tells us, “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit” (Prov. 18:21, NIV).

What have you to fear today? Why not declare life over your situation today? God has given us a great promise at the end of Psalm 91:15–16 (NIV) (emphasis added), “He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation.” God has made this promise very personal, three times saying, “I will.”

The question now becomes, will you? When you feel trouble coming on, will you call upon the Lord? As He promises, He will be with you! “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear” (Ps. 46:1–2, NIV).

Prayer: My declaration is to do my best to love You, Lord, with all of my heart, soul, mind, and strength. May I serve You with boldness and courage and bring glory and honor to Your name this day. I will not live in fear because You are my refuge and fortress. In Jesus name, amen.

Looking at Job - We know that God is loving and all-powerful. We know He has the power to heal us and take away our suffering, and we know He loves us. Still, we suffer, and we wonder why God doesn’t take us out of our suffering. We wonder why He leaves us in our pain. Doesn’t He care? Has He forgotten us? Has He turned His back on us? These are the questions that throb at the heart of the book of Job. Job is the first of five poetical books in the Old Testament. (It is followed by Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and the Song of Solomon.) These five books of ancient Hebrew poetry are often called the Wisdom Books, because they have condensed the deep wisdom of God into one powerful and concise section of God’s Word. In these five books, the great riddles of life are asked and answered. I also like to think of these five books as the Music Books, because they contain the rich, soul-swelling music of Scripture. These books reflect the sorrow and the joy of our lives and our relationship with God. In these books, you’ll find every emotion of the human experience. The feelings expressed in the book of Job are primarily those of affliction, distress, grief, misery, and doubt. Here is the cry of man’s wounded spirit, the deep groaning of a man who desperately struggles to trust in God, even though everything in his life is crumbling. Human beings were made to know God and trust in Him. So when our suffering reaches such a white-hot intensity that life seems senseless and chaotic, then our only hope is to cling to God in faith. Open the book of Job whenever you find yourself going through pain and trials, whenever you cry out, “Why, Lord?” In those pages, you’ll find a man who has experienced agony and loss beyond our ability to comprehend. Job questions God, seeks answers from God, and even becomes angry with God— yet he remains faithful. In the end, we see that Job emerges from his time of trial with his faith-relationship with God intact. One thing is certain: This book was given by the Holy Spirit to encourage, comfort, and instruct us.

Morning Meditation
PRAYING HONESTLY, SEEKING PEACE AND POWER
In Gethsemane I knew I was about to be arrested, tried and unjustly sentenced. I knew I would be beaten mercilessly and nailed to a cross. But My greatest burden was that I would soon experience sin for the first time. As always, My prayers were completely honest and transparent. Three times I shared My desire first, asking the Father to spare Me this terrible ordeal if possible. Each time I asked Him, His peace flowed into My heart. Then I could honestly ask that His will be done. After My third prayer, His peace flooded My heart, and I was ready to fulfill the Father's calling. This is how I want you to pray. Be transparent and honest. First, share how you truly feel and what you truly want. Then My peace will flow into your mind and heart. In the time that follows, whether seconds or days, your desire will change from wanting your will to truly wanting the Father's. Then you'll be able to honestly ask for His will to be done. You will receive your request for His will, by His power! Matthew 6:6, 26:39.

Morning Meditation
HOPE
PUT YOUR HOPE IN ME, AND MY UNFAILING LOVE will rest upon you. Some of My children have forgotten how to hope. They have been disappointed so many times that they don't want to risk being let down again. So they forge ahead stoically-living mechanically. Other people put their hope in problem solving, the stock market, the lottery, and so on. But I challenge you to place your hope fully in Me. ------No matter what is happening in your life now, your story has an amazingly happy ending. Though the way ahead may look dark to you, there is brilliant, everlasting Light at the end of your earth-journey. My finish work on the cross secured this heavenly hope for you, and it is absolutely assured. Moreover, knowing that your story finishes well can fill your present journey with Joy. The more you put your hope in Me, the more My Love-Light shines upon you-brightening your day. Remember that I am with you continually, and I Myself am your Hope! Psalm 33:20-22, Titus 1:2, 1Timothy 1:1

Prayer Declaration
There's no other Hope Lord; only Hope we have in You. Remind us of Your promises that You have our back, You are walking ahead of us, clearing our path. 🙏🏾

Are You in the Pit?

“I called on Your name, O Lord, from the lowest pit. You have heard my voice: ‘Do not hide Your ear from my sighing, from my cry for help.’ You drew near on the day I called on You, and said, ‘do not fear!’” (Lam. 3:55–57).

Most biblical scholars believe Lamentations was written by the prophet Jeremiah. The book contains five poems of lamenting over the destruction of Jerusalem, of which Jeremiah witnessed firsthand. Jeremiah could certainly relate to being in a pit. “They lowered Jeremiah by ropes into the cistern; it had no water in it, only mud, and Jeremiah sank down into the mud” (Jer. 38:6, NIV).

What was Jeremiah’s crime? He was telling the people what God told him to say: speaking of the impending demise of Jerusalem at the hands of the Babylonians. Joseph too was thrown into a cistern by his jealous brothers, and his crime was sharing the dream God had given him. Both of these men were obedient to God, yet each of them ended up in the pit.

At some point in your life, you too will find yourself in the pit, sinking down in the muck and mire and wondering if there is any way out. Perhaps you are there today. When you find yourself in the pit, the first thing to do is to call upon the name of the Lord. God tells us, “It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear” (Isa. 65:24).

In Jeremiah’s case, the king sent thirty men to pull him out. I can tell you with all certainty that the King of kings wants to help lift you out of your pit. He will draw near to you the day you call out to Him, and He will tell you: “Do not fear.”

David said, “I waited patiently for the Lord; He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand” (Ps. 40:1–2, NIV). If you are in the pit now, cry out to the Lord and then look up. You’ll recognize Jesus; He will be the One with His arms stretched out towards you waiting to lift you out and get you on firm ground.

Prayer: Lord, pull me out of the pit and set my feet on solid ground. I need You because I cannot get out on my own. Thank You for not being afraid to get Your hands dirty because I am a mess, but I realize You specialize in cleaning up dirty people. In Jesus name, amen.

At Home-

All who profess Christ as Lord are destined for a different home.
A home not built with hands, but a home of God's building, a home of perfection where nothing imperfect will live.
And all who profess Christ will be made perfect as they leave this earthly home and travel to their permanent home, the heavenly kingdom of God. Amen...
The process of moving from an earthly abode, our physical bodies, to a heavenly abode, our spiritual, perfect bodies is described in the book of 2 Corinthians in God's Holy Word. As it says;
"For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home (our earthly bodies) is destroyed, we have a building from God, (our resurrection bodies) a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens."
"For in this tent we groan, longing to put on our heavenly dwelling,(all who have received the gift of the Holy Spirit now long for more, we long for our resurrection bodies that we may go home to be forever in our heavenly dwelling, God's heavenly kingdom,
if indeed by putting it on we may not be found naked." (We long for our resurrection that we can then be forever in the kingdom of God, as believers, our destiny.)
"For while we are still in this tent, we groan, being burdened (we long for a closer interaction with God) - not that we would be unclothed, but that we would be further clothed, (made whole by our resurrection into the kingdom) so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life." (2 Corinthians 5:1-4)
This groaning will continue until our desire is fulfilled on the day of the Rapture when Christ Jesus returns in the clouds for his own.
At that point we will all rise to meet him, we will then be changed into our resurrection bodies, our perfected bodies, and will travel with him to the kingdom of God in heaven where we will dwell forever in the heavenly bliss of Gods immediate presence. AMEN...
"He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee." (2 Corinthians 5:5)
The indwelling gift of the Holy Spirit is our guarantee of the resurrection to come when we will all then be forever with the Lord our God. Amen...
"So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith and not by sight." (2 Corinthians 5:6-7)
Yes, we trust him to keep his promise to return for his own and we live in this faith in his word to us and not by what we see around us today.
"Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.
So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him."
"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil." (2 Corinthians 5:8-10)
On that great day of the coming of the Lord for his own, we will leave this earth with him, and we will stand before the judgment seat of Christ, the judgment of the saints of God, and be judged and rewarded for our lives lived in the flesh, and we will be forever at home in the house of the Lord. Amen...
Come Lord Jesus, I say, come! Glory to God in the highest!

HARD TIMES
When life is good, it is easy to say we trust God, but it is only when life is hard, that we learn what trusting Him really means.

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." --Philippians 4:6

Threshing or plowing?

"Ephraim is was a trained calf that loved to thresh, and I spared her neck; but I will put Ephraim to the yoke;Judah must plow, Jacob must harrow for himself" (Hosea 10:11)

God used the metaphor of a calf to show the condition of His people, Ephraim and Judah. During this time, farmers used calves for two main purposes. Some were used for threshing the grain, which was a relatively easy job. And others for plowing the field, which was a much harder job. The calves threshing the grain pulled a very light load while being free to eat the grain unmuzzled. (Deu. 25:4) The calves that plowed the field had a heavy yoke on their neck and had to engage in very laborious work. God was communicating to His people how free and well feed they once were, like the threshing calf, but now because of their disobedience are now carrying a heavy load and hard labor like the plowing calf. Sin makes life harder and always loads us down with unnecessary burdens. Righteousness allows us to roam free and enjoy the benefits of fellowship with God. So are you threshing or plowing? If you are the latter, turn to the Lord once more. He is waiting to relieve you of your load and cause you to experience His freedom.

CENTRAL MOVING FORCE
It pleases Me when you refuse to allow your ego to be the central moving force in your life. It pleases Me when you don’t stress over the trifling opinions of others. Wisdom has shown you to stop driving yourself to impress the world. I’m pleased when you zap your lust for approval and rest in My love and approval. I delight in you when you tell Me the life you’re living now is no longer all about you, and you’re living by faith in Me! Willingly I gave My life for you to see you vibrate with glory and to hear you speak these words to Me.✨✨✨The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise. Psalm 111:10✨✨✨Father, it’s all about You! ❤️

How to live for God-

As we move forward in our salvation we may have questions about the lives we are to live for Christ, or,
one may be asking, "If I accept Jesus as my Lord then what should I do in my daily life?"
The answer is that we are to live in Christ, to live as he requests, as his will dictates and not as the world would have us to live.
To do all things for Christ, whatever they may be.
"All things are lawful, but not all things are helpful. All things are lawful, but not all things build up." (1 Corinthians 10:23)
Just because the law of man tells us that a thing is lawful does not make it good in the eyes of the Lord.
That is the question we must answer daily, "If I do this is it going to glorify God or not?" For that is the reason to do any thing, for the glory of God and his gospel message of love.
"So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." (1 Corinthians 10:31)
If we do all things in this manner then we will be doing as God's will dictates and we will be pleasing in the eyes of God. Amen...
Jesus gave us only one command concerning all who would follow him and become his disciples, he said;
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: jut as I have loved you, you also are to love one another." (John 14:34)
Now why would Jesus dictate such a thing for his own, that we are to love one another just as he has loved us?
Are there not other things more important than this?
No,
for it is by our love for each other that we will be known by the world as disciples of the Christ and have opportunity to speak to others about Christ.
"By this all people will know the you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." (John 13:35)
How do we live for God?
We live in his love for him and for each other and we shine this love into the darkness of the world that others may see the light and want to know about it.
How to live for God?
By living as Jesus lived with love for all people, being examples of righteousness for the world.
By treating all people with respect and love and compassion that others will want to live in righteousness as well.
Amen...
