It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Cincinnati Fire Fighter Ryan Zwick, who courageously battled occupational cancer.

Ryan dedicated his life to serving the citizens of Cincinnati and standing alongside his Brothers and Sisters in the fire service. His strength, professionalism, and commitment to others will not be forgotten.

Today, we ask our members, retirees, families, and community to keep Ryan's loved ones, friends, and fellow fire fighters in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Occupational cancer remains one of the greatest threats facing the fire service. Ryan's passing is a heartbreaking reminder of the sacrifices fire fighters continue to make long after the fire is out.
Rest easy, Brother Zwick. We have the watch from here.

On June 13th, join us for a special day of remembrance and honor as we celebrate the life and legacy of Assistant Fire Chief Robert Schwanzl and recognize the recipients of the prestigious Schwanzl Award. This award is presented to the recruit selected by their classmates to represent and speak on behalf of their graduating class.

The ceremony will be held at the Toledo Firefighters Museum, located at 918 W. Sylvania Ave., Toledo, Ohio 43612. Come help us honor leadership, service, tradition, and those who continue to inspire future generations of firefighters.
