This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!
Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone sins against you, go to them in private and tell them their fault quietly. If they listen, you have won a friend.". Matthew 18:15
Do unto others. Forgive and forget. Let go and let God. Forgiveness is such a powerful thing.
It's been said that; Apologies are more for the person apologizing, than for the person being apologized to. And, on some level that is very true. When we seek forgiveness, it's usually to help us feel better, to lift a burden, and to try and right a wrong. If our apologies are sincere, and accepted, both parties are winners. But here's the thing, and what we need to remember; we each have as many faults, and reasons to apologize than the next person.
So, the next time we need to apologize to someone, let's be sincere, admit our fault, and hope they accept our apologies.
If we are on the receiving end of an apology, let's accept it gracefully; because one of the hardest things we ever have to say is " I'm sorry, please forgive me." But, if Jesus could say, "Father forgive them" while hanging on the cross, we should be willing and able to do the same.
Blessings to all on this beautiful Sunday morning.
Dear Lord, Saying we're sorry, and asking for forgiveness is often so hard to do. Help us to remember that we are all in need of mercy and grace, and follow Your example. Amen
