August has been busy! We've had back to school collections, a parking lot fundraiser, an ice cream social, and a welcome to our new council members! What a blessing to have such a lovely church family!

Next Sunday following service we're hosting an Ice Cream Social open to the Point Place community. Come on over for a morning treat! We'll have classic Sundays available but we'll also have a few breakfast treats to normalize that ice cream for breakfast!! Can't wait to see you!

Our back to school drive and our parking lot campaign are two important projects that we are so appreciative of the gifts coming in. Next week is our last week to collect school supplies before we bless and send them to Mustard Seed for distribution. See the comments for full list!

We are pleased to introduce to the Messiah and Point Place community our new Pastor, Pastor Pete Bowmer.
From the Pastor:
"Who am I, when no one is watching? What do I do, when eyes don’t capture my every move? What happens when I am not being judged for every action? I am still myself.
I was ordained in 1990 in Australia and served there until January 2014, when I and my family moved to the United States. While I was serving the Church, my wife was working hard at Toledo Public Schools, where she is still employed. We have been married for thirty-two years.
We have four daughters, who are grown and live across the United States. They live in California, Illinois (Chicago), Ohio (Fostoria), and New
York (New York City). In addition to our daughters, we are proud grandparents and also proud parents of 4 fur babies, 2 dogs and 2 cats.
When asked to describe myself, I would say that I am down to earth, have a good sense of humor, am laid back, and a people person. My hobbies
include gardening as well as cooking. I am a man, who loves God.
I am looking forward to getting to know you, each and every one of you!"
