We often look up at God and imagine a big, scary figure who is just waiting to smite us for our mistakes. Or, we assume He is wholly uninterested in our lives, leaving us to figure it all out on our own. But that is not who God describes Himself to be in the Bible. He is a perfect Heavenly Father who wants to hear about your struggles, your hopes, and your fears. Stop living in fear of a God who isn't there and start living in the grace of a Father who is. We all carry burdens we weren’t meant to bear alone. Whether it is a mistake we are trying to hide or a struggle that feels impossible to overcome, we often try to carry the weight on our own. But what if the invitation from God is not to fix ourselves, but to simply run back to Him?

In this second part of our series, My Story, My Song, Pastor David Reneau looks at the classic parable of the Prodigal Son. By exploring the father's response to his son’s return, we discover that God’s grace is not just about forgiveness—it is about being fully restored to our place in His family.

In this message, we discuss:
* How we hide from God when we feel shame and guilt.
* Why the Father in Luke 15 challenges our view of God as uninterested or angry.
* What it means to be adopted as sons and daughters of God.
* How to lay down our burdens and find rest in the grace of Jesus.

Scripture References:
* Luke 15:11-24
* Romans 8:15-17
* Matthew 11:28-30

Are you completely, deeply sold out? Many people mistake following God for a checklist of rules or a simple lifestyle choice, but it is actually about complete and total surrender. It is about letting go of what we want to fully embrace what He wants for our lives. Stop taking back what you have surrendered and give it all to Him today. Worship is so much more than just a song on Sunday morning. It is a daily posture of service, prayer, and reading the Word of God. We were created with a unique, God-given ability to reflect His glory through our actions, not just our words. How is your life serving as an act of worship this week? True love often asks us to do difficult, even messy things. When we embrace that kind of sacrificial love, it changes everything, not just for our families, but for our walk with God. If we are willing to sacrifice so much for the ones we love on earth, what should our surrender look like for our Savior? We often think of following God as a set of rules or a specific way of life. But what if it is something much deeper? What if true worship is not just about what we say, but about complete and total surrender to God?

In this first part of our new series, My Story, My Song, Pastor David Reneau breaks down the song "Abandoned" by Benjamin William Hastings and Brandon Lake. By looking at the life of Jesus, we see that surrender is not about losing ourselves. It is about finding our true purpose by choosing to mirror His will instead of our own.

In this message, we discuss:
* How Jesus gave His life so that we could have a relationship with Him.
* How we can find meaning in our relationship with God, even when we have to deal with the hard, gross, and illogical surrender of daily life.
* Why taking up your cross daily is the only path to following God.
* What it looks like to give the failures you hide and the victories you celebrate back to the Lord.

Sometimes we start doing things we think God called us to do, but it starts to feel clunky, laborious, and discouraging. When you find yourself there, do not just assume you need to suffer through it. Take time to reevaluate your approach. God calls us to hard things, but He also wants us to choose things that feel good and matter to us. Make sure you are doing what He actually called you to do. Are you sitting around waiting for a "big purpose" before you decide to move?. You do not need to wait for a sign to know what to do next. Jesus gave us the mission already: go and make disciples. This mission looks different for every single person, and it is something we can all do right where we are. Stop waiting and start making disciples today.
