This July, a team of 33 students and adults from LifePointe will travel to Ensenada, Mexico, to build two homes for families in need. Since April, our team members have been working hard to raise funds to help cover the nearly $2,000 per-person cost of the trip. This cost includes things like airfare, transportation, lodging, and ministry expenses for the trip. As we enter the final stretch of fundraising, we would love to invite you to partner with Team Mexico. Even if you cannot go on the trip yourself, you can still play a meaningful role in changing lives by supporting those who are going. Today is not about sales or cookouts or a day off from work. Memorial Day is a day we honor the brave men and women of our military who have paid the ultimate price in service to our country. They have given their lives defending the freedoms we hold dear in our country and in defending the name of freedom all around the world. Today, and every day, we honor them.

On Memorial Day, we reflect upon the sacrifice of service members who have given their lives to serve our country.

Many of the notebooks and pens collected for outreach this month are being shared with a counseling center that directly serves Langley and Fort Eustis soldiers/veterans who are receiving counseling.

For these vets, journaling is a critical tool for processing emotions and working towards healing. You have no idea how much your kind donations have impacted both the counselors and the veterans themselves!
