🌷 Happy Mother’s Day 🌷

Today, I’m thinking about the women who hold families together when nobody else even realizes they’re falling apart.

The mothers…
The grandmothers…
The stepmothers…
The foster moms…
The widows…
The single moms…
The women who stepped in when they didn’t have to.

Some carried babies.
Some carried burdens.
Some carried entire families on tired shoulders while still showing up with a smile.

As a chaplain, I’ve stood beside people on some of the best days of life… and some of the worst. One thing I can tell you for certain — the love of a mother leaves fingerprints on a soul that never truly go away.

ā¤ļø A praying mother changes generations.
ā¤ļø A loving mother creates stability in chaos.
ā¤ļø A faithful mother teaches strength without ever saying a word.

And today, we also honor the women carrying silent grief:
Those missing their mothers…
Those mothers missing their children…
Those who longed to be mothers…
Those walking through this day with heavy hearts.

You are seen.
You are valued.
And your love mattered more than you know.

To every mother and every woman who has loved, sacrificed, nurtured, protected, encouraged, corrected, prayed, and stood strong for others…

Thank you.

The world is better because of women like you.

Happy Mother’s Day. 🌸

šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡øā¤ļø SOMETIMES THE BEST STORIES NEVER MAKE THE NEWS ā¤ļøšŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

Last week,Titusville Police Department officers responded to a call involving an older gentleman who had been staying on the porch of an unoccupied home. The homeowner did not want to press charges, but the man needed somewhere safe to go.

What made this situation different was that this man was a USMC veteran, a stroke victim, and also physically disabled. He relied on a walker and a motorized scooter just to get around.
The easy thing would have been to clear the call and move on…
But compassion slowed everybody down.

Officers called me to the scene and we immediately began making calls trying to connect him with veteran organizations and local resources. Time was running short, and nobody wanted to see an elderly disabled veteran end up back on the streets.

That’s when I contacted our CREW 29 resource team at LifePointe - Titusville and without hesitation they agreed to provide a hotel room for a few nights to buy us time and help stabilize the situation. šŸ™

Then came another challenge… transportation.

How do you move a man, his belongings, his scooter, and everything he needs?

Sgt. Barbour made the call to bring a department pickup truck, and Officers Wyatt, Durden, Taylor, Sgt. Barbour and I went to work. They didn’t just ā€œhandle a call.ā€ They worked with the homeowner, contacted resources, helped move belongings, loaded equipment, and treated this man with dignity and respect.

And then something happened that the public almost never gets to see…

I couple officers reached into their OWN pockets šŸ’™ and personally contributed money to help this man sleep safely and comfortably for the next couple nights.

That’s not policy.
That’s not procedure.
That’s CHARACTER.

But here’s what I really want our community to understand:
This was NOT some rare random act. Similar moments happen across this department every single day at every level. Most people never hear about them because these officers never want credit for them.

They are some of the most selfless people I have ever seen in my life.

As a Chaplain, I get to witness the side of law enforcement the cameras usually miss — the compassion, the sacrifice, the humanity, and the heart behind the badge.

šŸš” This is what ā€œLove in Actionā€ looks like.
šŸ’™ This is communirocity.
šŸ™ This is loving above the uniform.

Proud to stand beside these men and women every single day.

Motivating your Monday! šŸ—£ļø

šŸ™ŒšŸ»Some days don’t come with motivation.

They come with weight, Responsibilities, Pressure, Expectations.

Moments you didn’t ask for—but still have to face.
And the truth is…not every day feels strong.

šŸ’ŖBut strength isn’t a feeling. It’s a decision. It’s getting up anyway.
......Trying again anyway.

Believing there’s still purpose—even when the path feels unclear.

Hear this today:
You don’t have to have it all together to keep moving forward.
God sees the effort. The fight. The struggle.

The quiet moments where you almost gave up—but didn’t.
ā€œThe Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me.ā€ – Psalm 28:7

So take a breath.
Lift your head.
Reset your focus.
You’re not behind.
You’re not finished.
And this moment? It’s not the end of your story.
Keep going. →

šŸ•Æļø Community Comes Together to Honor John Lee Brown

Last night, our community gathered in a powerful and meaningful way to honor the life of John Lee Brown.

Over 100 family members, friends, local churches, and community members came together along the riverside—at the very place where John was found—turning a place of loss into a place of remembrance, reflection, and unity.

ā€œ We are here to create a new memory of this peaceful place because that’s what he would want!ā€ , said Browns brother Matthew.
šŸ’ŖšŸ¾šŸ«¶šŸ½ā˜®ļø
John Lee Brown was known by many throughout Titusville. Though he faced challenges in life, he was a friend to all. He was kind, gentle, and carried a spirit that left an impression on those who met him—including many of our officers. Time and time again, officers who encountered John spoke of his respectfulness, his attitude, and his genuine heart. He was known, and he was cared about.

At the request of the family, Titusville Police Department Chaplain Royce "Scooter" Morrison
led the vigil, offering prayer and words of encouragement centered on healing, togetherness, and unity.

His message reminded all in attendance that even in difficult moments, we have a choice—to come together, to support one another, and to let peace be our voice.
šŸ’›
Pastor Royce Scooter Morrison also spoke of time spent with ā€œJohnnyā€ at LifePointe - Titusville and with CREW 29.

As candles were lit, the atmosphere reflected not only grief, but also love, dignity, and shared humanity. It was a time of peace.

Several members of the Titusville Police Department stood alongside the community this evening—not just as officers, but as neighbors—honoring a life that mattered. Officers Gaulding and Carlton were among those sharing, admiration and respect for Johnny and the community.

We recognize that our community has walked through difficult moments in the past. But tonight was a reminder of what is possible when people come together with respect, compassion, and a desire for unity.

Let us continue to move forward together, ļæ¼ because together we are better!

šŸŽ¤ LET ME SPEAK ON THIS… šŸ”„

I was listening to an old Loretta Lynn song…

The lyrics go like this

ā€œ the work we done was hard, at night we slept because we were tiredā€

I’m not coming soft on this one…

Some of y’all aren’t tired because life is hard—
you’re tired because you’re finally doing something that matters.

Let that sit.

Because we’ve got a whole culture that knows how to rest…
but doesn’t know how to build anything.

We’ve got people protecting their peace…
but they ain’t producing no fruit.

And then when somebody actually starts moving, serving, pouring out, sacrificing—
now all of a sudden it’s,
ā€œI’m just burned outā€¦ā€

No.

Let me speak on this.

šŸ”„ You’re not burned out… you’re being stretched.
šŸ”„ You’re not overwhelmed… you’re being trusted.
šŸ”„ You’re not at your limit… you just met your next level.

See, everybody wants impact—
until impact demands something from them.

Everybody wants God to move—
until God starts using YOU to do it.

That’s where it changes.

Because when God starts moving through your life,
it will cost you something.

It’ll cost you comfort.
It’ll cost you convenience.
It’ll cost you your schedule, your energy, your preference…

But hear me—

šŸ’„ It will NEVER cost you your purpose.

And some of you right now are standing in the middle of something real…

You’ve seen too much to go back.
You’ve felt too much to play casual.
You’ve watched lives shift, people step up, chains break…

And now the weight hits.

Now the responsibility shows up.

Now the demand increases.

And instead of recognizing it as growth—
you’re questioning it like it’s a problem.

No.

šŸ”„ This is what it feels like when you’re carrying something real.
šŸ”„ This is what it feels like when heaven trusts you with people.
šŸ”„ This is what it feels like when your life stops being about YOU.

Let me get real direct—

If everything in your life is easy, predictable, and always comfortable…
you’re probably not doing anything that requires faith.

Because faith will stretch you.
Purpose will press you.
Calling will pull something out of you that comfort never could.

So don’t back up now.

Don’t shrink now.

Don’t start negotiating with the very thing you prayed for.

You asked for impact…
now you’ve got it.

You asked for influence…
now people are watching.

You asked God to use you…
NOW HE IS.

So don’t tap out because it got heavy.

Weight is proof you’re lifting something.

šŸ”„ And if it’s heavy… it means it matters.

Let me land this strong—

You don’t need an exit.
You don’t need a break from purpose.

You need discipline.
You need alignment.
You need to stay in position long enough to see the full result.

Because what you’re holding right now…

isn’t just a moment.

It’s momentum.

And if you don’t drop it—
it’s about to carry you further than you’ve ever been.

šŸ”„ So square your shoulders…
šŸ”„ fix your focus…
šŸ”„ and get back in the fight.

Because this right here?

This is what winning feels like.

LETS GOOO!
