🏠 AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE — THE FINAL PREVIEW

Tomorrow at 10:30 AM ⏰

I’m finishing the foundation—and then we’re kicking this series into FULL GEAR. 🏎️

And hear me:
THIS SERIES IS FOR EVERYONE. 🫵

👨 Men will be challenged and strengthened.
👩 Women will be encouraged and reminded of the strength and dignity God placed in them.
👧👦 Children will be taught what it means to honor God and family.
💍 Marriages will be strengthened.
👨‍👩‍👧 Mothers and fathers will be challenged in their calling.
👵👴 Grandparents will see the power of faith passed from generation to generation.

❤️ And if your family is broken, blended, complicated, hurting, or looks nothing like you thought it would—there is a place for you too.

We are not chasing the world’s latest idea of family.

We are going back to the blueprint.

📉📈

God designed family. God has something to say about the people who make up a family. And over the coming weeks, we’re going to open His Word and talk about ALL of it.

This isn’t about building a perfect family.

🔥 It’s about building a house where JESUS IS LORD.

Join me tomorrow at 10:30 AM at LifePointe - Titusville for the final preview before we get into the heart of

AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE

🎙️ TODAY ON MILES IN THE MIDDLE — WE’RE FLIPPING THE RECORD OVER!

Everybody knows the hits. But what about the songs that never made the charts… yet made all the difference?

Today we’re going to
‼️THE B-SIDE. 💿

The deep cuts. The forgotten songs. The ones you may have never heard—and the ones you haven’t heard in 30 years. Because a song doesn’t have to reach a million people to mean everything to one person.

Some things never went viral.
They went personal. ❤️

🎶 Expect country, gospel, soul, old records, forgotten favorites and a few surprises along the way.

One of the surprising things that has come out of stepping back from vocational ministry is that I think I’m becoming a much better friend. Sounds weird, but it turns out many pastors make crappy friends.

And I don’t mean they.

I mean we.

I mean me.

I’ve spent the better part of my life around pastors, and a fair chunk of it being one, and I’ve come to notice something about my compadres in the ministry world. We’re often the most relationally available people in the room and somehow the least personally known. We know your kid’s name, your surgery date, that embarrassing “mistake” you made in your 20s.

We just don’t let people know much of anything about us.

Put a pastor in a chair, pump truth serum in their vein, and ask them to name five real friends. He’ll stall by three. Might not even get one.

Barna’s newest research on pastors (2026) found only one in three have a single person outside their church they feel they can confide in. A separate Barna study (2023) tracked the same erosion over time — the number of pastors who say they have real friends dropped from 34% in 2015 to 19% in 2023, cut nearly in half in under a decade.

It’s not that pastors don’t know people. We know an absurd number of people. Congregants, staff, ministry peers, mentors, people we counsel. We have countless people who could tell you what we do, how we serve, how great of a communicator we are, but almost nothing about who we are.

Because knowing people isn’t the same as having friends. [READ MORE] https://dustinkleinschmidt.substack.com/p/why-pastors-often-make-crappy-friends?r=3qg9t3&utm_campaign=post-expanded-share&utm_medium=web

📻 TODAY ON MILES IN THE MIDDLE

GOD IS STILL GOD. 👑

Yesterday was Election Day.

Some people won.
Some people lost.
Some people woke up celebrating.
Others woke up disappointed.

But EVERYBODY woke up this morning to the same truth:

🔥 GOD IS STILL GOD.
🔥 JESUS IS STILL KING.
🔥 THE THRONE IS STILL OCCUPIED.

And that’s bigger than politics.

Sometimes your candidate loses.
Sometimes your plan loses.
Sometimes the job doesn’t work out.
The relationship falls apart.
The prayer doesn’t get answered the way you wanted.
Life simply doesn’t go your way.

But your circumstances have NEVER determined His sovereignty.

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” — Hebrews 13:8

Today we’re talking about what it means to trust God when you don’t get the outcome you wanted.

👑 Presidents change. Politicians change. Circumstances change. WE change.

BUT JESUS CHRIST IS STILL KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS!

Today I had the great honor of serving the City of Titusville, Florida ‘s most awesome and amazing volunteers. These wonderful folks assemble every Tuesday morning at No One Hungry FL to distribute food and hope to those in need!

You should see the joy in their face is getting ready to welcome our friends and neighbors to the food pantry!

Those who served with joy, gladness, and Thanksgiving, leaving people with hope and a smile! It’s just the most beautiful thing!

We always need volunteers and we always need food and monetary donations.

I wish you could hear the stories of people that tell us without the resources they get, they literally would go without food.

Thank you to the faithful volunteers and partners!

📖 Let’s do a biblical fact check.

The Bible tells us to love one another.♥️🫱🏼‍🫲🏾
It tells us to love our neighbor.
It even tells us to love our enemies.✔️

It tells us that God hates those who sow discord and spread division.
God Hates…. Yep….

It tells us to encourage one another and build each other up—not tear each other down.

And then it says something that ought to stop every one of us in our tracks:

“Love keeps no record of wrongs.” (1 Corinthians 13:5)

Let me say that again…

Love keeps no record of wrongs.
💛

So if my social media, my conversations, my attitude, or my heart are built around keeping score, collecting offenses, exposing failures, or fueling division… I’m not reflecting the love Christ commanded me to live.

The Bible doesn’t tell us to win every argument.🗣️

It tells us to do everything in love. (1 Corinthians 16:14)
(Everything)

Maybe it’s time we spent less energy keeping score… and more energy showing grace.
If your “accountability” doesn’t come with mercy, forgiveness, grace and love… it isn’t from God.

Christ followers don’t beat down people, we bend down and help them up.
Stop giving hate a place at your table.

That part…..

— Royce "Scooter" Morrison

Somebody's got to say it.....LET ME SPEAK ON THIS!

A community isn't built by people who complain about it. It's built by people who show up for it.

Everybody wants a stronger town.
Everybody wants safer streets.
Everybody wants better schools.
Everybody wants churches that make a difference.

But those things don't happen because a handful of people work themselves to exhaustion while everybody else watches from the sidelines.

They happen when ordinary people decide...

➡️ "I'll help."
➡️ "I'll serve."
➡️ "I'll encourage."
➡️ "I'll give."
➡️ "I'll be part of the solution."

We don't need more critics.
We need more neighbors.

We don't need more people asking, *"Who's going to fix this?"*
We need more people willing to say, *"Lord, send me."*

A community rises when its people stop asking, "What's in it for me?" and start asking, "Who can I lift today?"

Don't underestimate the power of one meal served.
One child encouraged.
One elderly neighbor checked on.
One prayer offered.
One family loved.
One act of kindness.

That's how revival starts.
That's how communities heal.
That's how hope spreads.

If all you ever do is point at what's broken, you'll never have your hands free to help fix it.

Let's stop waitingfor someone else.

Let's be the people our community has been praying for.🙏🏼
