โœจ VBS Starts Tonight! โœจ

Tonight, kids will begin an exciting week at Illumination Station as we shine a light on who Jesus really is!

As our classrooms fill with laughter, songs, games, crafts, and Bible lessons, we invite our church family and friends to join us in prayer:

๐Ÿ™ Pray that every child who attends will clearly hear the gospel and come to know Jesus as Savior and Lord.

๐Ÿ™ Pray that God will open hearts to receive His truth and grow in faith.

๐Ÿ™ Pray for our volunteers, teachers, and leaders as they share God's Word with love, wisdom, and boldness.

Jesus said, โ€œI am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in the darkness but will have the light of life.โ€ โ€” John 8:12

Thank you for partnering with us in prayer as we trust God to work in the lives of children this week at Illumination Station! ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ’ก

God is both perfectly merciful and perfectly just.

As we read Amos 1โ€“2:3, we see that while God's mercy is immeasurable, His justice is inevitable. The surrounding nations may have assumed they were beyond accountability, but God demonstrates that His judgment is not limited to His own people. He is the righteous Judge of all nations, and every act of sin and injustice will be addressed in His perfect timing.

God's wrath against sin is not arbitrary or temporary. His judgments serve His holy purposes, and they will not cease until those purposes are accomplished. This reality should lead us to humility, repentance, and reverence before Him.

Yet the message of Scripture does not end with judgment. Our greatest hope is found at the cross, where God's justice and mercy meet. Jesus Christ bore the wrath that our sins deserved, satisfying God's righteous judgment and making a way for sinners to be forgiven and reconciled to Him.

The warnings of Amos remind us of God's holiness, but the cross reminds us of His grace. May both lead us to worship.

"God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." โ€” Romans 5:8

๐Ÿฉ Happy National Donut Day! ๐Ÿฉ

We're keeping the celebration going all weekend long! Join us this Sunday, June 7, starting at 9:15 AM in the Fellowship Hall for Donut Sunday. Enjoy a fresh donut, a cup of coffee, and some orange juice as we gather for fellowship before Sunday School and worship.

There's something special about sharing a simple treat and meaningful conversation with your church family. We hope you'll come a little early, grab a donut, and spend some time connecting with others.

See you Sunday! โ˜•๐ŸŠ๐Ÿฉ

In Acts 15:1-11, the early church faced a critical question: Is faith in Christ enough for salvation, or must additional religious rituals be added? Peter's answer was clear; God saves sinners through grace, not through ceremonial works or human effort.

This passage reminds us that without genuine spiritual transformation, rituals are of no effect. Religious practices have value only when they flow from a heart changed by Christ. The error of legalism adds human requirements to the gospel, while Antinomianism, the belief that God's grace frees Christians from any obligation to obey His moral law, treats obedience as unnecessary. Scripture rejects both extremes. We are not saved by our works, but the grace that saves us also produces a life that desires to follow Christ.

As Paul writes in Ephesians 2:8-9, "For by grace you have been saved through faith... not as a result of works, so that no one may boast." Salvation is by faith alone in Christ alone by grace alone. The same grace that saves also transforms.

The message of Acts 15 is as relevant today as ever: all who are in Christ are saved by grace through faith. There is no distinction based on background, ethnicity, religious heritage, or personal achievement. Every believer stands on the same ground at the foot of the cross, saved by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
