Today’s Thought Regarding This Post.
We all make decisions that appeal to the flesh, think about it? Satan never tempts us by offering spiritual growth, improving prayer life, or more effective ways to share our faith. No, Satan always appeals to the flesh, not to the spirit. There is nothing wrong with our God-given desires; but Satan takes these legitimate longings and, with our cooperation, gets them out of balance.
As he did with Eve, the Devil appeals to three yearnings we all have-human appetites, beauty, and knowledge. Then he twists them so that instead of simply desiring and enjoying them, we begin to lust after them and be controlled by them. Learn to recognize that you are at war, and your mind is the battlefield he uses to deposit his lies daily.
You must keep sinful thoughts from invading and lingering because you will be surprised to find out later, that they eventually will turn into daydreams that might lead to unholy or negative desires.
You don’t have to look far to see the depravity of the human heart at work today. The heart is desperately wicked says the Word of God. Are you reading the headlines of the country's newspapers lately? How about the evening news, are you of late keeping up with what is happening in our country? It is appalling how far this nation has turned away from God!

Our Mission:
To inspire, encourage, educate, and change lives by communicating God's truth and connecting people to God's work through Grace Baptist Church programs.
Are you looking for a home church where you and your family can grow spiritually in the Lord? GBC can help you, anchor, for the storms of life that come your way. Now is the accepted time to anchor your faith in the One who will calm the storms that will blow in your life.
Will you decide today to say yes to Him who is your only hope for your future? I do hope your answer is YES! It is a rewarding feeling to know that a righteous God in the person of Jesus Christ can give His life for sinners like you and me, yet that's what a loving God did at Calvary so that we can have a new home with Jesus in heaven. How amazing that is! Heaven is the believer's destination and hell is the unbeliever's destination.
Pray to be saved today
Dear God, I am a sinner. I want to be saved now, therefore, I open my heart to You now and ask Jesus Christ to be my Lord and Savior. I trust His shed blood to wash away all of my sins past, present, and future and give me eternal life. Amen.
In His service,
Rev. Dr. Lawrence S.Thompson

There will be some new signs coming shortly that will turn your heads! Prepare yourself now to believe that God is who He said He really is. Ignoring the Creator of heaven and earth and all that is therein is ignoring your very life. These are days of Jeremiah, and days of Ezekiel. Be prepared, Jesus is at the door.

When Facing Life’s Mountains (Zechariah 4:1-10)
In the vision God gave Zechariah, the mountain is an illustration of a barrier or hindrance. We might wonder what these strange dreams can teach us today. While the imagery is foreign, the principles are repeated throughout the Bible.

Zerubbabel, leader of Judah, and a group of 50,000 people had been released by their Babylonian captors to return to Jerusalem. There, God’s people began to rebuild the walls of the temple but were attacked by those living nearby. Consequently, the people were discouraged and ready to give up, But God! In verse 6, God reminded Zerubabbel through Zechariah that progress is made “Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.”

In other words, when God calls us to a task, He Himself assumes responsibility for removing hindrance. God went on to ask, “what are you, O great mountain?” Nothing but flatland would remain once He worked through Zerubbabel.

We are not to face seemingly insurmountable tasks in our own strength. Instead, we are to rely upon the power of the Holy Spirit within us. We are like the lamp stand that was to be kept continually burning in the temple. In Zechariah’s dream, the olive trees on each side of the lamp stand were pouring oil directly into its bowl, with no help from the priests.

The Holy Spirit was acting as the olive trees—He was God’s promise of continual help to the weary people. We, too, can trust the Lord to pour His Holy Spirit into our lives for help when we are facing a “mountain” of an obstacle. Our God is an awesome God! If you will place your anchor firmly in Him today, your life will reflect His and bring a sustaining peace during any storm that arise.

You Can Be Released From Bo***ge (Ephesian. 4:31-32)
Do you know people who attend church every Sunday and profess the love of Christ, yet don't exude Christ's love to others? Could one of those people be you? It is easy to embrace the intellectual theology of Christ's love, but quite another thing to let that love flow in and through your heart to a needy world.
One of the primary reasons people fail to experience God's love flowing through them is that a barrier of bitterness and resentment obstructs it. When you are bitter, you build a wall around your heart to protect yourself from pain. If you build it high enough, you may become entirely isolated from the world. Safe, but isolated. Your protective mechanism eventually leads to loneliness and ineffectiveness.
The root of this condition sometimes can be traced to an unforgiving spirit. When you enclose yourself in a cell of unforgiveness, your work, fellowship, and even worship behind bars. But this need not be the case.
We know from Scripture that Jesus came to set the captives free. He did so through a divine act of love and forgiveness. The power of Christ's strength even to forgive the most degenerate is available to you, if you are willing to accept it.
If you are captive to your own anger and hostility, allow the Lord to exchange those attitudes for the love you need in order to forgive. In doing so, you yourself will experience the love of your Heavenly Father and will, at the same time, become a vessel for sharing it with others--even those who hurt you. Are you being tested today?

Victory in the Battle of Life (1 Sam. 17:32-50)

Have you ever failed at something simply because you did not plan it carefully? If we want to achieve victory in our pursuits, we must be willing to plan wisely. Stratersizing is very important along with seeking the will of God for a successful life. It's not always enough to see a matter through to completion, we must also demonstrate the wisdom to consider all steps leading up to the challenge and all potential results that might follow. Then we will have a complete view--we'ii begin to see the matter through God's perspective.

When David confronted Goliath, he knew that he was entering into much more than simply a wartime dispute. He was keenly aware of the nature of the conflict; that is, the very name of God was at stake because all of the other nations would be watching to see what happened. Failure at this important juncture would have shown the world that Israel's God was not all that powerful.

More than understanding the nature of the conflict, David walked into battle knowing the outcome. He knew that God would empower him to do what he had been called to do: defeat Goliath and provide and unshakable testimony to the power of God.

if your pursuits keep falling short, ask yourself the question: "am I looking at the whole issue, or have I lost perspective?" If your point of view is too limited, commit the matter to God and allow Him to show you what He is able to do through your action. The Lord is more than enough to guide you through all difficulties that you may face along the way.
