Filled to Overflowing

“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” — Romans 15:13

Hope is not something we generate; it is something God gives. Paul calls Him the God of hope—the source, not just the supplier. When life drains us, God does not offer small portions; He promises fullness.

Joy and peace come through believing—trusting God even when we can’t see the outcome. Belief opens the door for God’s work within us.

The result is abounding hope—not faint optimism, but confident expectation that God is at work. And this hope comes through the power of the Holy Ghost, not our own strength. Much love to you all, make it a great day!

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1

When life feels uncertain and our hearts are shaken, this verse reminds us of something unshakable — God Himself. He is not distant or distracted; He is our refuge — the safe place we can run to when fear or trouble presses in.

A refuge is more than a hiding spot; it’s a place of safety and renewal. In God’s presence, our anxieties can quiet down, and our faith can rise again. He is also our strength — meaning we don’t have to rely on our own limited power. His strength becomes ours when we lean on Him in trust and prayer.

The verse also says He is a very present help — not a someday or maybe help, but a right-now help. Even before we see the answer, God is already near, holding us steady in the middle of the storm.

So whatever today holds — whether worry, weariness, or waiting — remember this: you are not alone, and you are not without help. God is there — ready to shelter, strengthen, and sustain you. Much love to you all, make it a great day!

Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

“I can” are great words of promise. We often limit this promise by saying things like “I can’t.” We say things like “I can’t handle this, I can’t get through this, I can’t get over this.” The fact of the matter is “I can” through the power of Christ! Whatever circumstance God brings into your life; whatever experience He takes you through, He will give you all the strength you need to get through it. You can embrace everyday with the strength that comes from God. Much love to you all, make it a great day!

Isaiah 43:2 “ When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.”

My favorite word in this verse is “through.” We pass “through the waters, through the rivers, through the fire.” This tells me that we eventually get “through” the difficult hard places in life. I don’t know what trails and troubles you are having today, or what fires you are in. I do know that God has promised to be with us as we walk “through” them. These verses magnify the Gospel message, the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ! The story of the Gospel is simple. The grace of the Gospel is glorious. The sacrifice of the Gospel is incomprehensible. The victory of the Gospel is eternal. The core of the Gospel is Christ. Live each day in the power of His resurrection, much love to you all, make it a great day!

In our busy world, we often let ourselves get preoccupied with worrisome and inconsequential things. What does this get us? Far from making our lives more productive or adding to our longevity, we know for a fact that worry robs our days of joy and peace! Trust in the Lord and be happy. Smile and brighten someone's day. Psalm 55:5 “Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.”

This Psalm was written by David during a time of great betrayal! One of his dearest and closest friends had betrayed him. Several things and situations in life can affect our mental health. Sometimes those things are easily identified as in David’s case, and other times anxiety and depression seem to happen out of the blue. It’s hard to explain to people who have never known severe depression or anxiety the sheer continuous intensity of it. It’s not something you can just “turn off.” Everyone’s mental health journey is different, and you never truly know what someone is struggling with or going through. So be kind, be patient, be caring, be supportive, be compassionate, and if you can’t be those things then just be quiet! Much love to you all, make it a great day!!

Time is so precious — time with our families, our children, our parents, our friends, as well as our brothers and sisters in Christ. How do you invest your time? Where do you invest it? You know, it's really more valuable than the money we invest. Once it's gone, it can't be reclaimed. So as you begin each day, ask God that you will be able to "know the time," to see it for what it is and to use it for its greatest good. Time passes quickly!
