Stewardship, September 06 – Fourteenth Sunday after Pentecost
Matthew 18:4 – “Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” What does it mean to have childlike faith? Certainly Jesus does not want us to have a faith that is childish — we are not called to ignorance or silliness. Rather, we are called to trust the way a child trusts: with
complete confidence in the Father. We show that confidence in our lives when we follow His directives for our life. Father knows best, so we’ll take His advice!

LADIES, MARK YOUR CALENDARS! The Space Coast Zone LWML Fall Rally
will be Saturday, October 3, 2026 at Faith Lutheran Church, 280 E. Merritt Ave., Merritt Island, FL 32952, with the theme, "Clothed With Strength And Dignity" (Proverbs 31:25).

Registration cost is $7.00. Gifts From The Heart will benefit "Dress A Girl Around The World". Items needed include: Cones of white thread for serger machines—About $12 on Amazon for 4 cones; Buttons; Cotton material –need to be 1 / 2 yard and over—prints and solids (It takes a yard for
small dress and 1 and 1 /2 yard for medium.); Cotton scraps can be used for sleeves, pockets and dolls; Gift Cards. RSVP to Linda Baker by September 18. All women are welcome (even if you haven't come to our meetings). Let's make a good representation from Good Shepherd!

Quilter’s—The quilters are in need of clean colored sheets (solid color or prints). We have plenty of white sheets at this time. Flat or fitted are both fine. Please no flannel, knit, or microfiber. We can also use donations of fabric cotton or cotton blend. Fabric pieces need to be large enough to cut 10 1/2 inch squares. Please place donations in the plastic tub in the narthex. Our quilts are
sent to missions all over the world (including the US). Please see the map on the bulletin board.

HELP NEEDED - The quilters could use more hands to make our quilts for Lutheran
World Relief. These quilts are sent not only to people in need in the USA, but all over the world. (Please see the map in the Narthex) Absolutely no sewing skills are required! If you can tie a knot, you can help us! If you can't, we'll teach you how you can help us. The only requirements are a desire to help people, and the enjoyment of working together on a worthwhile project. FREE COFFEE available. Please join us on Monday mornings from 9:00-12:00 in the quilting rooms in Shepherd's Hall.
