As Presbyterians we believe many things: that Scripture is the unique and authoritative Word of God; that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior; that our sins have been forgiven through his death and resurrection; that the Church universal is the physical representation of the body of Christ in the world; that we are welcomed into the church at baptism and fed at the table of the Lord in communion; that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus; that all men and women are called to love their neighbor, comfort the widow, strengthen the faint hearted, and assist those in need. At Titusville Presbyterian Church we embrace these points of the Reformed tradition in a unique way through our worship, community fellowship, and service to the world. We fellowship around Christ's table, and welcome the newly baptized. We are then moved to service in the world through many mission organizations and trips. Seasonal events like Christmas caroling in the neighborhood, hosting trick-or-treaters, celebrating Easter sunrise worship on the banks of the river, and a entering a yearly float in the community's 4th of July parade help us meet the neighbors who live only feet away from the church. The First Presbyterian Church of Titusville, NJ, has a very strong and historic heritage of music, which enlivens our worship and moves us to sing praises to God! Led by a Rodgers organ, along with many volunteer voices, the congregation lifts a mighty sound to the Rock of our Salvation! Sometimes, during the summer when the windows are open, all of Titusville can hear the song of God’s people. All are welcome to become a part of the music program at Titusville Presbyterian, regardless of training or experience. Missions and outreach are very important at Titusville Presbyterian Church. Each year various teams of youth and adults move from our church into the world, to serve, love, and share the Gospel. Trips range from building in the Dominican Republic and Freeport, Grand Bahama Island, to sharing dinner with neighbors in Trenton, NJ. Each mission trip is sponsored and funded by events held at the church--and they usually involve food as any good Presbyterian event would! Christ commanded the disciples to go into all of the world with the good news of salvation, and Titusville Presbyterian’s missions seek to do just that! The First Presbyterian Church of Titusville, NJ is located less than 20 miles from Princeton Theological Seminary, making a very strong relationship between the two possible. Countless number of seminarians have come to Titusville to worship, learn, and serve in intern ministries. Just another facet of the mission program is the desire to host and train the future leaders of the church.
