Life can feel like a kid carrying a backpack stuffed with science books. At first, it doesn't seem too bad. But after a while, the straps dig into your shoulders and every step feels a little harder.

Then a friend walks up and says, "Here, let me carry a few of those."

The weight hasn't disappeared. The journey isn't shorter. But suddenly it feels possible again because you don't have to carry it alone.

Sometimes strength isn't proving you can carry everything. Sometimes strength is admitting the backpack is heavy.

We'll talk about this more on Sunday 10 am as we continue our Beatitudes Series. You'll be welcomed with warm smiles from kind souls.

An ordinary, everyday worker sits on a grassy hillside to listen and rest from a long day of labor. The words are unlike anything he's ever heard. Blessed are the meek? With this government? Are you kidding? Blessed are the peacemakers? We'll see how far that goes! Yet, this Man's words bring calm to his heart. Could Jesus' upside-down kingdom truly lead to a life that's blessed? We'll talk about that this Sunday at 10 am. If you're weary with the world, we have a place for you. Warm smiles from kind souls will be waiting. BLESSED: The Beatitudes Summer Series

It’s easier to receive a gift when your hands are open.

Maybe that’s true not only with giving, but with forgiveness, relationships, opportunities, healing, and even God’s presence. Sometimes we miss what He’s trying to place in our lives because we’re gripping too tightly to fear, control, or scarcity.

We'll talk about that more on Sunday at 10 am. Warm smiles from kind souls will be waiting to welcome you.

I’m not one for platitudes especially as it relates to helping those facing real life challenges. Magnet sayings just don’t cut it when you need real empathy. But at TCCC, we have made our theme for 2026: We are K.I.N.D. We are Kind, Involved, Neighborly, and Devoted. This Sunday, we will talk more about setting the table for our community through genuine acts of kindness. You’re welcome to join! Warm smiles from genuine souls will be waiting. 💕

You are welcome.

I’ve been thinking about how easy it is for life to just fill up. Work. Family. Responsibilities. Good things. And before you know it, everything is moving—but something still feels a little unsettled.

That’s what I keep seeing in Haggai. The people weren’t rejecting God. They just slowly built their lives around everything else. And God doesn’t come in with pressure—He just says, “Consider your ways.” Pause. Notice. Pay attention to what’s actually at the center.

Because when God shifts from the center to the edges, life starts to feel like something we’re constantly managing… instead of something that holds together. I don’t know about you, but I don’t need more to do right now.I just need a better center.

We love the moment when God answers long held prayers. We don’t love the hallway in between–that place where the problem is real but the answer hasn’t come yet. Maybe the hallway isn’t empty. Maybe God is forming something in us while we wait. Habakkuk provides some thoughts on this. Join us.

There’s a lot of noise right now—anger, despair, exhaustion, and cries for relief. Some wonder, “If God is loving, why is there so much chaos?” That’s a fair question.

The Christian story doesn’t ignore that tension—it steps right into it. It tells us that God doesn’t stand distant from our pain, but enters it. In Jesus, we see a God who suffers with us, walks with us, and offers peace not by removing every storm, but by being present in the middle of it.

You don’t have to have all the answers to find rest. You can take refuge in Him—even here.

We'll talk more about this on Sunday at 10am. Come with your questions. Warm smiles and kind souls will be waiting for you.
