Taken yesterday (9 Apr) afternoon/evening

Almost seems like the Shooting Stars will bloom in stages. Those in the west half, south side, are already starting to bud. The east half only had 1 or 2 that were thinking about budding.
Usually it's the other way around 🤷‍♀️

FYI -

We are in the process of trimming all low hanging branches.
We apologize for -
1. any inconvenience this may inadvertently cause anyone.
2. Any and all branches, leaves and/or other debris that are or will be near and on the driveway(s) and family plots.

It is our hope to have the areas cleaned up before tomorrow's snow storm...however we cannot promise or guarantee it will be done by then.

Thank you for your patience and understanding,

Your township trustees

PSA...I think it's important to remind everybody about how meaningful a funeral procession is for a grieving family. It’s their final moment of traveling with someone they love — a quiet, sacred pause in the middle of an ordinary day.

If you come across a procession on the road, I hope you’ll take a moment to slow down, yield, and let the whole line pass. It’s not just the law in Iowa — it’s an act of kindness. Cutting in, passing, or rushing through an intersection can feel incredibly painful to the family following behind.

Your patience, even for a minute or two, gives them something they’ll remember: respect, dignity, and a sense that their loved one mattered.

Thank you for helping make these moments gentler for the families in our community.

Parents, educate your kids. And kids, educate your parents. Everybody needs a reminder. :) Trust me, it really does matter.
