PARISH ANNOUNCEMENTS—September 6, 2026
Following Jesus requires us to take up our cross, follow him, and have the mind of God. Before we prepare for the Mass, please take note of the following events:
- Offices will be closed on Monday September 7th for Labor Day
- Family Faith Formation begins on Monday September 14th
- High School Faith Formation also starts this month
- The week ahead:
o Young At Heart on Tuesday
o Generation To Generation Campaign Meeting on Thursday
o Bereavement Support Group next Saturday
- Coming up:
o Port Lunches and Bingo September 20
o Adoration after 6pm Mass September 27
o Presentation on Fulton Sheen September 30

ALL MASSES
- We will be doing something new with our Annual Bonanza Raffle. Check the information table this weekend for a sneak peak.

- Starting this month, we will have additional Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament after the 6pm Mass on the last Sunday of the month.

- All are invited to learn more about the Generation To Generation Campaign this Thursday September 10 at 6:30pm in the Parish Hall. Bishop Fedek will also be on hand to answer any questions that you may have about the Campaign.

❤ To prepare our hearts, and minds for the historic Beatification of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen we will be holding a Novena of Holy Hours at the Cathedral of St. Mary in Peoria beginning Sept. 15th, and completing the night before Sheen will become Blessed.

✝Each night will feature a different speaker presenting on a topic that was deeply integrated into Sheen's life and his walk toward sainthood.

We know little about Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus except what we find in scripture. We do know that they were Jewish men of some standing who were not afraid to express their respect for Jesus.
