I am overflowing with Christ's love and want to share it with every person that walks in the door on the weekend! Each of us is sharing Christ's love in a unique way....How are you sharing Christ's love today? Stephanie

Christina Bower's message to her EM team:

As for me ... Most of you are well aware that I am a "hugger". Recently, my girlfriend Jennifer was talking to me about someone she knew who had just suffered a loss but she was uncertain as to what to do / say. Then Jennifer said " ... but I remembered after you lost Tom, you told me that what you needed was a hug" ... Now, fast forward to last weekend ... as I was coming up the steps in to the Narthex, one of the host ministers, who knows me, greeted me and gave me a big hug. As she was hugging me, a lady came up behind us and exclaimed "Ooohh, do you give hugs here ? How wonderful ! I love hugs " ... and so the Nativity host minister enveloped the stranger in a big hug. Finally, would you believe that on TV this week I saw an ad ( for something or other) but the tag line was "A hug is the best cure of all" . There is a moral in here my friends ... Everyone needs a hug !

Many of us want to find some of the elusive
quality called humility. How embarrassing to realize I was looking for humility because I thought I could get what I wanted, or I could impress you... Oh, and certainly God would reward me! It is good to remind myself that others are as close to God as I am ever going to get while on this earth. What is needed is personal prayer asking in earnest, to be aliened in God's will today. Then I can see how my experience with hope and pain can help other people; if I can do that, humility has found me.

What a blessing vacation is! How much prayer can you fit into your summer vacation?

Are you familiar with the Scripture, “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (John 8:32).? While the truth continues to set me free, many times the truth hurts first. There are aspects to our personalities, that when we learn the truth about, and are willing to make the hard choice and change, will then set us free. Be prepared to face difficult truths and know there will be challenges on your path to freedom in Christ Jesus.

Rev 3:19 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.

Oh by the way, this work is never done, but it is an amazing blessing when we are willing. Progress not perfection!
