Music Leader – Part-Time
Position Overview
We are seeking a Music Leader to guide congregational worship through music for our Sunday morning services and special occasions.
Primary Responsibilities
• Lead worship music for Sunday morning services and other special events
• Select appropriate music for each service in collaboration with the Pastor
• Prepare special music for worship at least twice a month
• Organize occasional special music groups (solo, ensemble, choir, etc.)
• Use existing church music books and materials whenever possible; order additional music as needed for specials; incorporate available YouTube videos when appropriate
• Assist the Pastor in planning special services (5th Sundays, Easter, Christmas, Revival, etc.)
• Coordinate all music plans with the AV specialist and accompanist as needed
Basic Qualifications
• Ability to lead congregational singing and encourage participation
• Basic music skills, including the ability to read notes and play simple keyboard lines (at least one-note melodies)
• Familiarity with church liturgy and traditional/contemporary church music
Time Commitment
Approximately 3–4 hours per week
Compensation
Starting salary: $150–$200 per week
Additional Opportunities (with corresponding salary increases)
As time and responsibilities grow, the role may expand to include:
• Establishing and directing choirs, a praise team, youth/children’s music groups, or a chimes choir
• Preparing music for memorial services upon request
• Playing keyboard (basic hymns) when the regular accompanist is unavailable
Salary will be adjusted based on increased hours and expanded responsibilities.

Started with the Farmer's Market with ny girls and the littlest G'Babies. Finished with our friends from Helena Methodist Church of Timberlake, NC .
God Bless you all.
Thank you for all you continue to do for the people of Yancey County. We love and appreciate you so very much.
Mattresses, food stuffs, school supplies, fresh blueberries and so much more today!
We were able to pack bags for our friend Shawn's Cancer Treatment Ministry, and also.bags for our friend Autumn and her Mountain Opportunites Center Clients.
We will be sending great school snacks next week to our grade schools and feed some sweet kids!

Thank you again, Roxboro, Timberlake and all those that made the drive yet again today!
I think this is trip #30 for the big black truck.
