Cowgirl Heaven Ministries “Growth: moving away from struggles and toward our strengths!” Most importantly the girls with be able to experience God and all His goodness like never before!

As a long time Christian cowgirl I am excited to offer a place for young cowgirls to gather together. At Cowgirl Heaven camp the girls will be able to further develop their horsemanship skills and apply those skills to their favorite rodeo events.

Cowgirl Heaven camp for Ages 8-18 are June 23-25, 2026
Here are some answers to questions I get often asked:
1. Cowgirl Heaven is Free! (Donations of food, water, ice, treats for the kids, water balloons, bug spray, sunscreen, fly spray, etc. and your volunteer help is always welcomed and appreciated)
I love to give out T-shirts every year to everyone! I give many prizes out at the end of camp!
2. I plan a menu and enjoy feeding everyone!
3. I teach from the Bible ( Bible study everyday)
4. We play games and do a small craft project. We do get pretty wild and wet during water games so bring extra clothes for that- the need for sandals or extra socks is usually the most overlooked.
5. Bring your own horses and supplies for keeping your horses happy and healthy throughout camp.Bring hay and a bucket to use for watering your horses.
6. I have a limited supply of safe kid horses for beginners only ( call to save a spot- I will accommodate and borrow you a horse)
6. I do have pens set up for your horses to stay in.
7. I have a cabin and tents for the girls to sleep in ( bring pillow, sleeping bag or blanket )
8. Family is welcome to come watch at anytime.
9. I do a final meal on the last day with a small award ceremony that is for everyone. ( family/ friends)
10. My help is amazing, from the kitchen to the arena and beyond. Without their commitment and dedication it would be impossible! Bless you all!
11. Horsemanship is essential and taught extensively. Barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying, and roping can all be expected during camp!
We learn together and strengthen each other as we ride for the Lord!
12. Calling me is the best way to visit with me! I’m old school I like talking to people on the phone

Good morning Cowgirls! I am looking forward to seeing everyone.
Due to the rain we will start at 9:00am . But I will still receive anyone that arrives beforehand. I just hope this helps those of you who are driving in the mud and my arena to dry. 🤠

There is not a need to have horses saddled to ride at 8:00am. I prefer to greet you, share reminders, and pray for guidance and safety first.
We will begin on Wednesday, June 25 at 8 am for the advanced/intermediate riders and end on Thursday at 5:30pm.
Friday, June 27th is for beginners and we will start at 8am and eat lunch, ride some more and end at 4pm.

I am thrilled to welcome all the cowgirls and extend warm hospitality. I eagerly anticipate camp each year. My unwavering commitment to faith and integrity is rooted in my personal friendship with Jesus. As always, I am enthusiastic about sharing my faith with you!

If you are on the fence about being a beginner, intermediate , advanced rider. Here are some things to consider :

1) if you are not catching and saddling your horse, or at least trying to do everything independently. You are a beginner.
However , you may know how to do everything but some things are hard because you are too little/not strong enough, then you are an intermediate.
2) if you ride only a handful of times a a year in the corral/ around the yard. Maybe a little walk in the pasture- you are a beginner.
3) if you don’t have a horse- you are a beginner.
4) if have never taken your horse anywhere else besides home/ neighbors. Especially overnight then You are a beginner.
5) if you have been horseback riding often but have not broken into a loop. You are a beginner.
Just a few things to consider about your riding capabilities.
I love teaching and helping kids gain confidence. My priority is safety! I want them to have the most positive experience possible with horses-From there the growth can continue to expand!

Howdy Cowgirls,
I changed the camp dates to June 25,26,&27. Wednesday and Thursday will be for the intermediate to advanced riders. Friday will be for beginners.
It came to my attention that Bison 4-H rodeo is on Friday, June 27. I hope this helps accommodate those that are living in chaos of scheduling for all the fun stuff happening this summer!

Lynn Smith is a multiple-time CNFR Champion, collegiate coach, ProRodeo competitor and one of the earliest teachers of goat tying at a high level. She said this when we interviewed her in Cheyenne:
"I think we create habits in what we do. And do you want to have a championship character or are you just going to slide by and let natural talent take you. Because it only goes so far. And so, as a coach I can kind of tell which kids are going to be successful. Not only in rodeo but in life. They're the ones that clean their stalls. They're the ones that come early and they're the ones that are ready."
She goes on: "It's always kind of fun to watch in the fall of the year when you first start practice; the upper classmen are there 15 minutes early, on their horse, warmed up and ready to go by whatever time practice starts. Because the first calf or goat is going to be tied by whatever time practice starts. That doesn't mean pulling into the arena, that doesn't mean walking into the arena with your horse, you know. So, those ones that don't have that urgency to what they're doing, you try to give them some consequences so they understand that there's more in the world than just you."
