God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape...1 Corinthians 10:13
But what happens when we refuse to take the help? Eventually, our strength fails, and we give in to temptation. That’s what happened to David. He allowed temptation to fill his mind and dictate his actions, which led to adultery and the murder of Uriah. Like David, we may consider the choices we make as relatively harmless. But later, after we’ve succumbed to temptation, we regret. God says, “Stop! Turn around, confess your sins and start afresh.” Ask the Lord Jesus for discernment to recognize the temptations, and the strength to take His way of escape.
