New Three Parish Catholic Family Website: Please make the switch

For the last several months, Elena Winfree has been diligently designing a new parish website for us. We are happythat we are ready to launch this new website. Talking to my pastoral council, I shared that we wanted to work with a new host that would provide a website that is more user friendly. This includes making it easier for us staff to edit the website when updates need to be made. I am thankful for the feedback of some of our parishioners from the three parishes for taking the time to review the draft. Although changes may be made in the future, we like the simplified and snapshot view of our parishes.

Just type in your web browser: https:/ /threeparishfamily.org

We would also like for those who participate in online giving to make the switch to the new website. For current Vanco users, instructions will be given in a letter. We will give you some time to make the switch, but ideally, we will be discontinuing the old website by August 1, 2026. We encourage new users to try the online donation option. It will be easier to navigate than our old system. Why give online? So that when you are away or out-of-town, you can set it to automatically give and thus continue financial support of your parish.

To use the online giving on the new website please select the “Online Giving” button
on the menu and select your parish. Fill out your information and click submit.
Parishioners have the option of setting up both one-time and recurring weekly
offerings, make donations for flowers, improvements, or to the cemetery, as well as
submit and make an offering for Mass intentions. Take a look around our new site!

I would also like to say thank you to both Elena Winfree and Tammy Wendler for
helping to set up the new website.

The Most Holy Trinity

Whenever we make the Sign of the Cross: “In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit” we call to mind what is central to our faith, the Most Holy Trinity. The Holy Trinity is one God in three Persons and we are baptized in the name of the Trinity. Just think of how often the Trinity is invoked in our faith. At every Mass, the faithful are blessed by the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We pray the Glory Be at the end of every decade of the rosary. Also, we profess our faith in the Trinity when we recite the Nicene Creed. The Most Holy Trinity is clearly a core belief of the Christian faith.
As often as we call upon the Trinity, one God in three Persons is still a mystery. God reveals Himself as such but He is beyond our full comprehension. Frankly, the Trinity is still difficult to understand and that is why we say the Trinity is a mystery! This does not mean we should give up in learning about the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We can still understand and come to know the Persons of the Trinity and how much the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit love us.
The most important characteristic of God is that He is perfect love. Perfect love is self-giving. There is an exchange: the Lover needs a Beloved to receive His Love. The love between the Father and the Son is the Holy Spirit, and so this perfect love unifies. Because of our Baptism, we too are beloved sons and daughters of God receiving His love. We too are called to imitate the Trinity in self-giving love for there is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends (John 15:13). This love is sacrificial and perfect.

2026 Parish Trustee Elections - Treasurer Trustee

We will be holding Treasurer Trustee elections on the weekend of June 20-21, 2026, at all weekend Masses. The current Treasurer Trustees, Linda Steebs (Holy Family-St. William) and Julia Herro (St. Mary) are eligible to run again for an additional term, if they choose to do so. Carol Knaup (St. Anthony) will be fulfilling the maximum length of consecutive terms this year; therefore, a new trustee must be elected at St. Anthony Parish.

Nominations may be made by parishioners in writing to Fr. Rydell:
a. Nominees must be adult parishioners in good standing with the parish.
b. At least 10 written nominations must be received by Fr. Rydell from adult parishioners in good standing for a person to be nominated.
c. Nominations must be received at least two weeks prior to the election.
d. Persons nominating must be at least 21 years of age and in good standing with the parish.

All nominees shall be announced at the regularly scheduled Sunday Mass(es) two weeks prior to the election.

Virtues, EXPLAINED!“Piety denotes the reverence which we give to our faith and to our country,” writes St. Thomas Aquinas. “And since God is the Father of all, the worship of God is also called piety.”

QUESTION OF THE WEEK — This past weekend in the Gospel reading, the resurrected Jesus sends the disciples forth equipped with the power of the Holy Spirit to forgive or retain sins. Does forgiving others come easily to you?

Today, we observe two meaningful occasions: Memorial Day and the memorial of Blessed Mary, Mother of the Church. As we remember those who gave their lives in service to our country, we also turn to Mary, Mother of the Church, asking her to pray for us and for all who have sacrificed for our freedom.
