Happy Birthday Pope Leo XIV!

On September 14, LCWR joins people around the world in extending our prayers and warm wishes to Pope Leo XIV on his birthday.

In Magnifica Humanitas, Pope Leo reminds us that every human person is “planned and willed by God” and that our dignity is a gift, given by God as an expression of unfailing love.

Today, we give thanks for the gift of Pope Leo’s life and for his witness of faith and service to the Church and our world. May God bless him with wisdom, strength, peace, and joy as he continues to serve God’s people.

Happy Birthday, Pope Leo XIV.

The closing prayer from our Franciscan Office read, "O God, grant us, like Francis, to accept humbly the gifts we have been given and to use them in service of others, recognizing that all good work is your own work. May we always follow in the footprints of your Son, Jesus Christ, who lives and rules with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen."
