Was being in a good place at the right time a happy accident, or was it intentional?

Of course the Lord is holy. He wants us to be holy. If I want what He desires, I want to be holy too. In Leviticus 19, He tells us how to be holy: basically, keep the commandments. If we give sacrifices, do it “at your own will” (v5).

“God hath said a man being evil cannot do that which is good; for if he offereth a gift, or prayeth unto God, except he shall do it with real intent it profiteth him nothing” (Moroni 7:6).

What does “real intent” mean to you? How can we serve the Lord intentionally and of our own free will?

We don't go to Sacrament meetings to be entertained. We go to worship the Lord.

Have you ever had a lightbulb moment? When the meaning of a message suddenly makes sense?

Many scriptures in the Old Testament point to the Savior’s ministry and atoning sacrifice. What is it like when the lightbulb comes on and you suddenly “get it?” Zechariah 9:9 “& #…

“And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the LORD: And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known unto them” (Exodus 6:2-3).

In this interchange with Moses, Jesus reveals that He is doing, and has always done, the work of "God Almighty." But He also reveals to Moses something much more personal. He reveals His identity, His name, a glimpse into His heart. Jehovah is the name that Jesus Christ was known by before His ministry in the flesh. Jehovah\Jesus is a willing, wholehearted, participant as the Sacrificial Lamb who made it possible for us to return to The Father.

"Strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life" (Matthew 7:14).

God is the most loyal to us. The more loyal we are to Him, the more we recognize when He is with us.

Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after His resurrection?

The Gospel of John (20:7) tells us that the napkin, which was placed over the face of Jesus, was not just thrown aside like the grave clothes. The Bible takes an entire verse to tell us that the napkin was neatly folded, and was placed separate from the grave clothes. Early Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. She ran and found Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved. She said, 'They have taken the Lord's body out of the tomb, and I don't know where they have put him!' Peter and the other disciple ran to the tomb to see.. The other disciple outran Peter and got there first. He stooped and looked in and saw the linen cloth lying there, but he didn't go in.

Then Simon Peter arrived and went inside. He also noticed the linen wrappings lying there, while the cloth that had covered Jesus' head was folded up and lying to the side.

Was that important? Absolutely!

Is it really significant? Yes!

In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have to understand a little bit about Hebrew tradition of that day. The folded napkin had to do with the Master and Servant, and every Jewish boy knew this tradition.

When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure that it was exactly the way the master wanted it...

The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait, just out of sight, until the master had finished eating, and the servant would not dare touch that table, until the master was finished. Now, if the master were done eating, he would rise from the table, wipe his fingers, his mouth, and clean his beard, and would wad up that napkin and toss it onto the table.

The servant would then know to clear the table. For in those days, the wadded napkin meant, 'I'm done.'

But if the master got up from the table, and folded his napkin, and laid it beside his plate, the servant would not dare touch the table, because......

The folded napkin meant, 'I'm coming back!'

He is Coming Back!

So; if this touches you, you may want to share it.

And if Christ had not risen from the dead, or have broken the bands of death that the grave should have no victory, and that death should have no sting, there could have been no resurrection. But there is a resurrection, therefore the grave hath no victory, and the sting of death is swallowed up in Christ. (Mosiah 16:7-8)

Charity is not a single act. It is not something we do. Charity is a way of being. (*1 Corinthians 13:4-8) You know how, when we go through something really hard, like losing a child, it can give u…
