May 8, 2026 - We talked about being part of God's family. The teens spoke about how they feel accepted and wanted at the church. They feel like they are heard and a part of something good with God and His people. They also stated that they are taught Bibilcal principles that they are applying in their lives. God is moving in a mightly way with these teens. Our next event is the teens serving on the 22nd at the church benefit dinner.

April 24, 2026 - last night and into this moring the EPIC Youth Group had our all night lockin. We had a very busy 14 hours starting with our discussion on facing challenges, which seem like giants to us, but are opportunties for God to show us His power, authority and love for us. Durung this time together, we celebrated Lily's birthday, spent time outside, played countless games, enjoyed the fellowship and time together. We finished the lockin with Vera making breakfast sandwiches for the group. There were a lot of tired and sleepy eyes this morning, but it was a good time for everyone. God is good!

April 9th, 2026 - Worry was the topic of discussion this evening. We defined that worry was a fear of impending disaster or unpleasant circumstances or a lack of control to correct the issue. There are many negative things that come from worry; lack of sleep, health issues, decreased focus and poor decision making, etc... The solution for worry, fear and anxiety is to surrender or give it to God without taking it back. It is easier said than done because we rely on our intellect, skills, resources and instinct, instead of trusting God with our very lives. The outcome when we trust God is so much better than when we are left with our own devices to solve.

March 13, 2026 - with the group going to the Passion play at the end of month and Easter on April 5th, it was very natural to talk about Jesus. We discussed who is Jesus. That He is the Son of God and and our Lord and Savior. He also willingly gave His life so that we can be reconciled to God the Father. The group is looking forward to seeing the Passion play at our next EPIC session on the 27th.

February 27, 2026 - a small cozy and close group tonight. Tonight's discussion was on how God loves and values us. Sometimes it is hard to understand how and why he loves values us. God loved us so much that He sent His only Son to be born and die for us so that we could be reconciled to God. We will talk more in depth as we come closer to Easter.
