APRIL-MAY 2020

DEAR FRIENDS AND PARTNERS,

Well, here we are, still on lock-down, trusting in the Lord each and every new day. We have given Him the control over our lives many years ago and we know He prepares us in advance for each new challenge. Those who think they can control their own lives are finding out that it is not so. We believe that it will not be so hard anymore to yield to Jesus because it is the best offer available and includes eternity with Jesus. He goes before us and makes the crooked ways straight.

Since the churches are all still closed, my birthday celebration is being postponed to a future date. We will wait until we can get closer than six feet apart. We will announce the date when the time comes. So many events have been changed or postponed, weddings, funerals, graduations, anniversaries, mission trips and more. Our grandson, Sam, is graduating from High School in Texas this month but it will be without an audience. Our great-grandson, Jacob, is graduating from the four year Coast Guard Academy, also without an audience. We hope to watch online.

We are just a small representation of the many families who have had to place their plans and dreams on hold and to make changes. Our prayers are with those who have lost loved ones and for the businesses that had to shut down. Many have labored for years, invested all their time and money and through no fault of their own are losing everything. My favorite saying is “Only one life, only what’s done for Christ will last”.

We have traveled out of the house but it has been to doctor’s appointments and to the hospital for surgery. On April 27th, I had surgery to clean out a sore that would not heal on my foot. It would heal, make a crust, it would fall out and the whole process would start all over .To clean it out, the surgeon had to make a very large hole down to the bone. A nurse has been coming to the house every day to clean the wound and change the bandage. During this last week, I developed a staph infection which is being treated by strong antibiotics. We had to call 911 a few days ago because of a high fever and infection. I spent the day and night in the hospital and was happy to come home. During the foot surgery, the doctor had also taken out the lymph nodes at the top of my leg which show melanoma, which is skin cancer. They will also take a full body scan to detect any further invasion. We are grateful for the medical help, but the Lord Jesus is our Great Physician and His healing power is covering me right now. We take authority in the name of Jesus over any intruder in my blood stream and command it to shrivel up and die! Just like Jesus cursed the fig tree and it died. Let’s fight the good fight of faith together for my complete healing and recovery until we see total victory in the powerful name of Jesus.

For all of us, the greatest battle is fear when we are constantly hearing how bad things are, especially the corona-virus. Then it’s the economy, and on and on. I’m not saying it’s not bad but always rehearsing it is not productive to say the least. We have to limit our time listening to the bad news. Fear is from the devil because it is the opposite of faith. We keep declaring this virus defeated in the name of Jesus and a massive spiritual awakening and revival to follow. 2 Tim. 1:7 “FOR GOD HAS NOT GIVEN US A SPIRIT OF FEAR, BUT OF POWER AND OF LOVE AND OF A SOUND MIND.”

We joined in prayed as observed the National Day of Prayer in the Rose Garden of the White House. There was a tangible presence of the Holy Spirit as our President Donald Trump prayed and submitted our nation to the Lord Jesus Christ, as well as many of the others who prayed in faith to defeat the corona-virus and that God would grant wisdom to our President Trump, Vice President Pence and to all our elected officials.

Pastor Paula White Cain who is on staff at the White House had a word for the President.at the end of her powerful.prayer for him. It is found in 1 Samuel 30, when David and his men had been attacked by their enemies who had taken captive their wives, sons, daughters, and then burned the city with all their possessions. Their first reaction is in v.4 “Then David and the people with him lifted up their voices and wept, until they had no more power to weep. V 6 “Then David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and daughters. BUT DAVID STRENGTHENED HIMSELF IN THE LORD HIS GOD”. V 8 So David inquired of the Lord, saying “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered Him. “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all” That is exactly what happened. DAVID PURSUED AND RECOVERED ALL THAT WAS TAKEN, NOTHING LACKING.

We also watched on television an hour long prayer meeting from all around the world. Different pastors prayed from different nations of the world. It was a very powerful time. We believe for a turnaround for our nation, that in a miraculous way the Lord will rescue us from this virus and our failing economy. AS we have said many times before, we are so grateful to be on the same team together with you, a very powerful team as we pray for one another in our different battles, and right now, a battle for the soul of our nation.

We love you, pray for you and declare His victory over every battle you face, new jobs for you and your children, healing for your bodies, and provision for every need. Be encouraged to stay in faith, not by what you see, but by the promises of God for all our lives.

OCTOBER-NOVEMBER 2018

DEAR FRIENDS AND PARTNERS:

We greet you in the wonderful name of our Savior Jesus Christ who is active in and through our lives. Since we are too late to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving, we are wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving Season. Sometimes we take our blessings for granted and it is wonderful to have a special time of thanking God for all He has done for us. The greatest blessing being the gift of eternal salvation purchased by our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross.

This last month has gone by like a v***r. We arrived from our trip to Canada on October17th and on the 22nd Jackie had so called minor surgery which required a longer period of recuperation than she expected. Before that was over, we had the shock of the mass murder of thirteen in Thousand Oaks, one of the safest cities in the country where we raised our children. The next day the Woolsey fire started about 30 miles from where we live and it continued spreading over many days until it reached our neighborhood. The fire was very close and we were evacuated but only for one day; the firemen and the sheriffs and policemen did an awesome job during one special night of taming the flames which left the hills around us burnt black. Our daughter, Carole, and family were evacuated and came to our house but the next day, we were evacuated so we all had to leave. They had a real miracle, everything is burnt to a crisp all around their house but the fire stopped at their doorstep. Their vineyard, fences, gates, trees are all burned but the house is intact. Our granddaughter Nicole stayed with us over a week because the smell of smoke made her sick. We are all extra thankful for being spared as we also pray for those who lost everything and the families of those who lost their lives.

We received many phone calls from Europe, Canada, and the U.S. because the two fires could be easily confused by the television reports. The worst fire called the Camp fire was in Northern California which is undreds of miles from us. It was the most devastating fire ever recorded with much loss of life and property.

Jackie tried several times to write this letter but we had computer problems, one of them was being hacked by someone who was using their knowledge of computers for evil. We had it cleaned up and repaired so she is starting to write again.

Our trip to Montreal was a tasted of heaven; we experienced such a strong anointing of the Holy Spirit that is only possible when there is hunger, love and unity, instead of strife and division. We landed in Burlington, VT, rented a car and drove to our first stop which was spending the week-end with our dear friends of many years, Jacques and Nicole Phillibert who pastor Un Refuge Sous Ses Aisles ( A Refuge under His Wings). We met through Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship when Jacques was a dentist who became President of FGBMFI over all Canada and later became a pastor. I remember when he would invite and pay for a whole table at a dinner and they all would come forward and receive the Lord.

The church is not a regular church but more of a training center. Nicole has just started an intercession group which meets every two weeks for serious intercessors coming from different churches. They really travail as they cry out to God for revival and pray for Canada and their government. The meeting on Sunday was so filled with power that we could barely walk as we prayed for everyone. After we were all done, people started giving testimonies of what God has done and if was midafternoon when we left. One precious testimony is what the Holy Spirit did for a precious friend. Jackie was walking around to see who else needed prayer when she saw this friend on the floor as I had already prayed for her. Jackie bent down sensing that it was not all done, laid her hand on her and started praying. She went through a very deep deliverance and said that she had suffered from a fear of speaking boldly specially in public. She got up, took the microphone and started sharing real loud like she had never done. Jacques was blowing the shofar; another man was also delivered of the same spirit. Everyone was clapping, It was quite a meeting.

Every year, we ministered at a church in Laval West pastored by Jean Marc Menard and his wife Francine. Shortly after our last visit last year, Jean Marc’s battle with cancer was over and he went to his heavenly reward. He used to call me his twin brother because we looked alike, except that he was much

younger. He really was the wheel that made everything run and his wife found herself unable to continue. She sold the building, paid off the mortgage, and started a home meeting; I told her we would come and help her. This was our first time and the meeting was attended by a small committed group who stuck together after the church closed. It was a sweet meeting attended by the Holy Spirit as we brought faith and encouragement and laid hands and prayed for each person for which they were very grateful.

We met with different pastors just to spend time with them having fellowship and showing love and encouragement. Pastoring is hard work, it is mostly giving and not too much receiving. In turn, we were so blessed being with them and receiving from them as well. We also spent as much time as we could with my sister, Pierrette. She is still doing well, and even better each time we see her. She gets checked every six months and the results are good, no cancer. Thanks be to God!.

Our last week-end was spent in St-Hubert. We stayed with our dear friends, Claude and Lisette Morin who live minutes from the church were we were going to minister; Eglise Alliance et Vie pastored by Odette and Leo Menard. Those days were the culmunation of a most blessed trip, sort of the whipped. whipped cream on top. We are so blessed with the special relationships that the Lord has given us. It is

not something man can do, it goes much deeper than that because it is God given. We receive so much love in this church that it cannot be explained, but just felt. They cheer and clap at everything we say, we get filled up with so much love from the pastors and the people. During the two meetings we both shared what was on our hearts and that strong anointing of the Holy Spirit just enveloped us in power and love. We prayed for everyone, most ended up on the floor and stayed there for a long time. Jackie and I walked around and prayed for healing and deliverance as the Lord touched His people and met their needs.

This church is not a normal church either, to say the least. It is a prophetic church, the dance teams that travel all over the world training other groups are also prophetic, the worship is prophetic as well as the teaching. There is a pre-service meeting which allows people to prophesy over individuals, while being taught and mentored on their accuracy. There is a flowing and freedom in the Holy Spirit that is very unusual and it is easy to flow with it. During worship, which is awesome, the small children are in front worshipping, as well as the whole church, and learning to dance as they copy the team which is on stage. Over the years, we have seen many of these children grow up and join the worship teams; there’s a new crop developing all the time.

About thirty years ago, I met Pastors Odette and Leo at a Full Gospel Business Men’s meeting where I was the speaker. Before they even head me speak, they asked me to come speak at the church they had just started. They were not really accepted by the church at large because of the prophetic and the dance teams. They told me their church was considered a sect but I said “Yes I’ll come”. I loved them and the church immediately and they felt the same way; we have been going back ever since. It is a different story now, they are invited to teach and the dance teams are invited by many countries to share what they have. They paid a price to be frontrunners for Jesus and going forward fearing God and not men. We went to lunch with the pastors ending our day about 5 p.m. in wonderful sharing of love and fellowship, leaving with our hearts full of the love of Jesus.

Our last two days were spent with Claude and Lisette who took us to a house on Lake Champlain which was our favorite place during our dating years. The autumn leaves were filled with color and we had a good time of fellowship. It was even close to the airport so we didn’t have far to go to Burlington the next morning.

We give all the glory to our Lord Jesus for what He has done on this trip. We do the physical but we know that only He can do the work that will change lives, which we have seen on this trip. Demons flee at the name of Jesus, broken hearts are healed, the captives are set free and the glory of God is made manifest as the name of Jesus is lifted up.

We love you our partners and friends, we appreciate you, and we thank you for your loving support and prayers. The prayers of the saints avail much, for which we are witnesses. We were physically well and able to fulfill our assignments, my back held up with the driving and standing for hours to preach and pray for each one. We are very grateful for what God has done in answer to prayer.

AUGUST 2018

DEAR FRIENDS AND PARTNERS,

The Precious Holy Spirit is always on the move!! We try to follow Him the best we can and He is also full of surprises. We had been asked to come and minister for three days at Living Word Fellowship in Gardnerville, NV, a church pastored by Gene Holman. I used to minister frequently in the vicinity of Reno, Carson City, and Lake Tahoe, however I had not been there in five years. Years ago, in that same church, I led a wel l known Indian Tribal Leader to salvation; he was full of hate when he came in and when he left, he was full of the love of Jesus. We rented a car in Reno, drove to Gardnerville and had fellowship and meals with Pastor Gene. He is a precious, loving man, who following the Lord’s direction started cooking dinner for his flock on Wednesday evening, making it a dinner and bible study evening. He started with a few people years ago and now feeds 30-35. He invites them as his guests and personally pays for the food. He started by faith, not knowing how he was going to do this, but as it grew, the Lord taught him how to do it. Such a perfect example of obeying by faith; we start out not knowing how we can do what the Lord has asked us. He doesn’t give us what we need if we don’t start but as we go, the provision is there. God doesn’t usually ask us to do something we can do. He usually asks us to do something we can’t do and as we take that step of faith, He gives us what we need.

Some of our friends from years ago drove many hours to come to the meetings .It was an oId time reunion and such a blessing to be together, as well as precious friends from the church. During the years 1971 to 1985, we held once and twice a year retreats at the Casa de Maria in Santa Barbara, hosted by Sister Pauline. It was during the Catholic Charismatic Renewal and we saw at least many hundreds of precious people born again and filled with the Holy Spirit. Last year, the floods destroyed or damaged most of the buildings and Sister Pauline has been relocated to a convent in Los Angeles. She will have a great reward in heaven and a wonderful reunion with all those whose lives were transformed at La Casa.

Her work was not always accepted by religion but it was accepted by God. We met some of those people in Gardnerville. We remember so vividly a young couple from Los Angeles who attended with others in the family, their parents and siblings, all of them never to be the same again. Not long after, the young father of six children was killed in an avalanche on the road to Reno, and the young mother raised those children with God’s help. She was at the meetings, still on fire for Jesus. Their oldest son was called to be a missionary to India and spent several years there. He is now back with a lovely Indian wife and beautiful daughters. They came to the Sunday morning service and as we prayed for him, the power of God touched him in a very deep way. All the meetings were precious and attended by the Power of the Holy Spirit, some cried as they were being healed from deep hurts, some laughed, some were encouraged, some fell by the power of the Holy Spirit. Some were delivered from discouragement and heaviness. We also prayed and believed for physical healing. There was a strong spirit of joy and love present to minister to all. We also heard precious testimonies of lives changed years ago that we had never heard. Glory to God!

We went to Fort Worth, Texas to attend the Southwest Believers Convention for five days. We were really washed by the power of the Word of God from 8.30 a.m. to 10.30 p.m. with a short break for lunch and dinner. We were renewed in our spirits and souls as we worshipped with over 10,000 believers from all 50 states and over 60 nations . A taste of what heaven will be like. The teachings on the glory of God and the anointing of the Holy Spirit were especially powerful, as well as the pre-service intercession meetings. When Kenneth Copeland first started in ministry in 1968, he came to teach on faith in a home of dear friends here in California. He only taught what he had just learned but it was enough for us. He planted seeds of faith in us which enabled us to step out in faith, close our real estate office in 1970 and follow the Lord in full time ministry. We have witnessed this ministry of integrity grow, with persecution, and touch many nations. We appreciate that there is never a word of criticism towards any other ministry. Walking in love and forgiveness is the standard they follow. While there, we spent a few precious days in Southlake with our son, Ron, his wife Christy, and our grandchildren, Sam 16, Jack 14 and Eleri 10. Such a blessing to be with them. We celebrated Jack’s 14th birthday and attended Gateway Church together.

Thank you for praying for our son Bob and his wife Debbie on their mission trip to Uganda. Their report follows: We went to Uganda for 10 days with Joni and Friends Ministry and worked with missionaries from SOS Ministries. We visited disabled people in their huts and provided adapted wheelchairs and crutches to 120 patients. Most importantly, we shared the gospel with hundreds. 60 prayed to receive

Jesus as their Savior.

I just received a phone call from a man I prayed for in 1995 at a local church where I was invited to speak. He said that I cast out many demons out of him. He fell to the floor and was set free. At that time, he was homeless, living in his car parked in a field and a sweet breeze came over him. He is a changed man and works for a publishing company. He just wrote a book and wanted me to have a copy since I was used to set him free. This was a special gift to hear about this miracle because most people forget to report the blessing when it comes. We know it comes from God but we have a small part in it.

We thank you for praying for us and for your loving support. We read your notes and pray for your needs. The Lord is good and His mercy endures forever. We encourage you to be involved in the work of the Kingdom. Continue to be His hands and hearts extended to those around you. We love you and appreciate your partnership so very much.

OUR PRAYER FOR THE DAYS WE LIVE IN: LORD JESUS GIVE ME EARS TO HEAR, EYES TO SEE, A MIND TO UNDERSTAND AND A HEART TO BELIEVE. EPH. 5:15-17 “SO BE CAREFUL HOW YOU ACT; THESE ARE DIFFICULT DAYS. DON’T BE FOOLS; BE WISE: MAKE THE MOST OF EVERY OPPORTUNITY YOU HAVE FOR DOING GOOD. DON’T ACT THOUGHTLESSLY, BUT TRY TO FIND OUT WHATEVER THE LORD WANTS YOU TO DO.” AND, OF COURSE, DO IT!!!

JULY 2018

DEAR FRIENDS AND PARTNERS,

How blessed we are by the fact that the Holy Spirit has been sent to live in us, to be our guide, to lead us, to help us, to comfort us and that we have the assurance that He will never leave or forsake us. Most of us are in a time of transition, a time of change, and we can either resist it or be guided by the Holy Spirit into the new things He daily has for us to do. It is a day by day walk with Him, step by step of obedience, to fulfill the assignments He has for us. We can either say, it’s too hard, I’m too old, too tired, too sick, or we can say and believe Psalm 72: 14 “They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing.” We read in Luke: 19 13 where Jesus says “Do business till I come” or “Occupy till I come”. The whole parable is very enlightening. Sometimes we will hear someone say they are so anxious for Jesus to return so they can be with Him. That can also be an excuse to not occupy but just sit and wait. We also want to see Jesus but in the meantime we want to make very day count and be counted as faithful servants. It is such a privilege to be His ambassadors on this earth. Glory to Jesus!

We attend our church every week that we can and witness precious people receiving Jesus at every meeting, we also serve on the prayer team praying for different needs, physical and emotional healing,, deliverance or whatever is on their hearts., The anointing is strong and we only pray a few minutes to see results. We are also part of a home group attached to the church and also attend another home group with people from different churches.

I also attend a men’s weekly breakfast with men from a local church, some of whom I have known for a long time. One of these men who is a good friend invited Jackie and I to his birthday celebration held at his beautiful home. We had a wonderful time with nice people, a four course meal, and a renowned guitarist. The pastor shared and said that his denomination believes in the gifts of the Holy Spirit but that they keep them in the closet but that my friend over the years had turned him on to the power of the Holy Spirit and you could tell it was real. He is great pastor, involved in politics and making a difference in our county and state. My friend had asked me to share at the end and gave me 30 minutes. I preached and shared real fast and then asked if anyone wanted the Lord to touch them. Jackie and I prayed for several, I had prophetic words for some of them; lots of tears and evidence that the Holy Spirit was touching them. We also laid hands and prayed for my friend and his wife, and another couple who used to be part of a Catholic Charismatic group where I taught weekly. He reminded me that I had baptized him in water in a swimming pool as well as some others. I also performed the wedding ceremony for him and his precious wife 29 years ago and the Lord has blessed their union. It was a wonderful evening attended by the sweet presence of the Holy Spirit.

I also spoke at our local Women’s Aglow meeting giving testimonies of how the Lord has worked in our lives giving examples of the anointing of the Holy Spirit, how it is transferable and how I received it by desiring it and being with men and women of God who had it. Everyone came for prayer, deep hurts were healed; most fell to the floor overcome by His Mighty Power. The Holy Spirit was welcome and He came. Let us be about our Father’s business together, each of us doing our part according to our talents, gifts and abilities. If we step out in faith, we will experience His Mighty Power. We so appreciate your love, prayers and support.

We pray for each one of you and your families that our Precious Lord Jesus will cover you, bless you, empower you, heal you and meet all your needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus. We love you and pray for you!
