Every Thursday night during Lent we will be meeting at 6:30pm on Thursday evenings for an evening of Art inspired by the Japanese Kintsugi practice. Artistic skill is not needed and we will be exploring brokenness and transformation as a result of brokenness.
March 6, 6:30pm in the Fireside room.
Sign up so we know how many supplies to secure: https://emmanuelthousandoaks.org/event/kintsugi-inspired-art-practice/2025-03-06/

The Acorn ran a story about Harbor House, our ministry partner here in TO. Worth the read, interesting insights about housing challenges and the particular ways in which you can help!
While low-income and unhoused people in Thousand Oaks are facing growing challenges, Harbor House remains committed to preventing its neighbors from falling thr

The Acorn ran an article about long time member Ed Jones' passing. Ed, you will be missed!

This Sunday
We prepare 50 hot meals for Harbor House once a month.
February is Black History Month. The 2025 Black History Month theme, “African Americans and Labor,” focuses on the significant role that labor has played in shaping the Black experience throughout history.
Really any information you take in about Black history is important this month and our children's library has a good selection of books appropriate for your kiddos! Room 8 at the church, it is open every Sunday, and you can also access it on Wednesday Play Days!

Helpful hint: start from the middle or bottom of the list, names at the top have been inundated. LA, we've got you. (Thank you Emily Delster for the notice!)
Escape the wind, the church has power, bring your children to the nursery, charge your stuff.

Women's Night Out is proving to be a bad idea tonight. Traffic, wind, no food trucks at the venue, if you haven't left - stay home!
Sorry for the late notice

Welcome to our little page. Isn’t it great how the internet works to bring folks together from all over the world?
We would love to hear from you at any time on any post, a direct message, email, phone call or smoke signal. Whatever works for you we will get back with you as soon as we are able.
Feel free to come on by too, we are in the office M-T 9-4 and Friday 9-12 and have the whole Sunday morning thing going on as well.
In fact we have a Classic Service at 9am - that means we meet in our larger space called the Sanctuary, and that sometimes the choir sings, or we have the piano and/or organ play. Our pastors are pretty musical too and can often be found playing guitar and percussion in both services. Our nursery is open for this service and will be happy to care for your young child if you like.
Our second service is a Contemporary Service which starts at 10:30am and meets in a large open and friendly room and features a full band and music which has been released more recently. Our nursery is also open for this service as is our Sunday school rooms.
If you have any questions at all whatsoever, about Emmanuel, our services, what to expect at Sunday school or a visit - please feel free to message us directly here and we will be happy to respond and get you in touch with the correct staff member directly.
