Tush*ta Kadampa Buddhist Center is located in the Oaks Mall - 196 W. Hillcrest Drive #89 Thousand Oaks, CA 91360. Open to everyone...

Open to everyone, the Center offers meditation classes, a variety of introductory and in-depth courses, chanted prayers and retreats. Classes take place in our beautiful meditation room and are suitable for all individuals whatever their level of interest, from those who seek simple relaxation to those who wish to find lasting inner peace and contentment through following the Buddhist path. Our Ce

nter was founded by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso as a non-profit organization and member of the New Kadampa Tradition-International Kadampa Buddhist Union. It offers meditation classes and retreats throughout Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Agoura Hills for all levels of experience. Everyone is welcome, and although the classes are taught as a series, you can drop in at any time; there is no pre-registration necessary. Thank you for your interest and we hope to see you soon.

WOW what an incredible day at Tush*ta Kadampa Meditation Center! 👏👏👏 Over 100 people came out to celebrate 18 years of service for our non-profit Buddhist meditation organization! 🙏

Thank you to all our kind volunteers for making this event possible….We started the day with a beautiful guide meditation w/Ariana, 🧘🧘🏽‍♀️🧘‍♂️ followed by a Family Meditation class taught by 13 year old Sofia Foley….The Great LenGweenie and Magic Ryan put on an epic and entertaining magic show (see last slide!🪄🪄🐇🎩🤹‍♀️ then a wonderful and practical meditation workshop on Transforming Conflict with our resident teacher Kadam Rebecca….delicious food including handmade tamales and fresh baked goods 🫔🍪🧁🍰 …..a tour of the meditation hall w/Star Ladin and Donte Henry…ending with Prayers for World Peace! 🌏☮️✌️

We had a blast hanging out with everyone- thanks to all the new people who came and meditated with us! We look forward to seeing you all again soon! 💛💛💛💛

Come celebrate 18 years with us! Tush*ta Kadampa Meditation Center was established in 2008 and we have been serving the Conejo Valley by offering meditation classes, workshops, and retreats for over 18 years!

This Sunday is our Annual Open House Event and we have a full day of fun and meaningful activities planned for the whole family.

To celebrate NKT Day resident teacher Kadam Rebecca and senior practitioner Michelle Clark attended a beautiful Refuge ceremony with Gen Kelsang Lekma - the newly appointed teacher

FUN FACT: 20 years ago Kadam Rebecca was living in Boston - she packed up all her belongings and drove out to Los Angeles to study on TTP with Gen Lekma!

Gen Lekma had her teaching three branch classes - including one here in Thousand Oaks. Michelle Clark requested a center with a full time meditation teacher- and the rest is history!

Michelle Clark is now teaching Prayers for World Peace and the Foundation Program class in Santa Barbara!

Join us Sunday, April 19th 9am to 4:30pm for our Annual Open House event and celebrate 18 years of serving the community with us!

Join us New Year’s Eve for a meaningful celebration with delicious food, drinks, community and a beautiful chanted meditation dedicated to peace throughout the world.

Tara is a female Buddha, whose name means “Rescuer. She is the embodiment of swift compassion. If we rely upon Tara sincerely and with strong faith, she will protect us from all obstacles and fulfill all our wishes.

This powerful practice is the perfect way to end 2025. It will include a period of silence for quiet reflection and setting our spiritual intentions for the new year.
