This Week at Faith Bible
February 25, 2024 & following
Can't wait for the Lord's Day! This Sunday, pray for Pastor Brooks preaching 11am and 6pm Pray God will give him strength, and hearts will be touched/lives changed! God is with him; hard work pays off! He is touching hearts/lives; it would really encourage him to have YOU come; it will be a very special time; more so IF you come! Let's set a record; have our best group yet! Invite family/friends; the journey WITH God is an amazing 1; you can't change the past, but you can make sure, from this point on, God will be 1st! Make this year the BEST ever! It can be; it will be, if you include God! start attending church; EVERY Sunday & Wednesday/EVERY service/EVERY time the church doors are open; make a pledge with God that you will be in church! NOTHING will keep you from coming!
Never do anything, which you should be afraid to do, if it were the last hour of your life! Ask yourself at the end of every day, week, month, and year if you could possibly have done better for God! Until you die, do not act for yourself, but entirely for God! God FIRST! Everything else SECOND!!
Thought: Loving words change lives! Loving prayers change paths! Loving hearts change worlds! YOU can make a difference! Include God in your life!
PRAY! All of us know people who need Jesus Christ as Savior/not living for the Lord, not attending church; work on them to attend! Commit to pray for them, get them to church; then God will work mightily in their hearts!
SUNDAY 11 AM MORNING WORSHIP - Pastor Brooks Goodhart “Reaching For The Prize!” Philippians 3:13, 14 Sermon Notes: Paul is describing either the foot race or the chariot race. Paul writes these words 40 years after his conversion. 3 essentials: Devotion, Direction, Determination. Devotion v13a - "One thing I do..." We cannot allow anyone or anything distract us from the goal. The secret of progress in the Christian life is to focus on 1 thing, Devotion; focus, concentration is the secret of power in the Christian life. It is all a matter of priorities, living for what matters most. Direction v13b - A negative and a positive: "Forget those things (failures and successes). Looking back will result in losing speed, direction, and even the race itself. We break the power of the past by living for the future. "Reaching forth" means straining forward to the goal. Extreme effort is in view. We must always go forward in the Christian life. Determination v 14 - "I press on..." Paul says we must continually pursue the goal. It carries the idea of intense endeavor. 2 extremes to avoid: I must do it all or God must do it all."... the upward call of God in Christ Jesus" is the rapture. We must live in light of the fact that Jesus could come back at any moment to take us home to heaven, The faithful Christian will be crowned when Jesus Christ returns. Make sure you are ready!

Sunday 6 PM - Evening Gospel Hr Pastor Brooks Goodhart “Paul's Beautiful Prayer” - Colossians 1:9-14 Sermon notes: Background: The prison epistles/prayers: Ephesians 1 & 3, Philippians 1, Colossians 1,; Background: Paul was a prisoner in Rome when he wrote this letter to the church in Colossae. The CITY was located about 100 miles inland from Ephesus. At 1 time it was a growing, prosperous city, but gradually it became a small town, but the church was important enough for Paul to write a letter to the believers there. The CHURCH – Paul did not start the church, nor did he visit the church, but he heard of their faith! Paul thinks of others, not himself. He prayed for 3 things: Spiritual intelligence, Practical obedience, Moral excellence. Paul 1st prayed that we would know God's will so that we will make the right decisions and live to please God.
Wednesday 7pm THE PRAYER POWER HOURS led by Pastor Brooks Goodhart; we are back! PTL! Never underestimate the power of a praying church! There is power thru prayer! Prayer power is the greatest power in the world! Nothing is impossible w/ God!

We/our church really need your prayers, and financial help; church needs $2,650/wk;
We ALL need to say, not IF we can give, but HOW MUCH can we give; it is up to YOU! It is easy to say, let someone else do it, but maybe no one else will; step out in faith! God will reward you for your sacrificial giving! we are trusting God to work mightily, and for big things/miracles to happen; never underestimate what God can/will do; we have faith He will tug on many/all hearts to respond in a BIG way initially & then regularly moving forward; we believe in the power of prayer; when big amounts are given, which a handful in the past have done; then the weekly amt needed is more within reach; it looks bleak, but WITH God we will make it! He is in control! Thank you in advance for you prayers & help! We need them, especially now!
Thank you for your support; very much needed, and greatly appreciated! Many churches are closing down because not many give weekly/what they should. Your faithful, sacrificial giving allows us to meet our expenses. God speaks to hearts and the response is overwhelming! A team effort! With God ALL things are possible! God provides! Above all, PRAY! There is power thru PRAYER! Whatever you can you can give is a BIG help! If you are not giving your tithe each week, you are disobeying God's command! We ALL need to do our part! Give weekly, sacrificially, faithfully; make up your tithe if you miss church! If you are not giving each week, then you are disobeying God's command! We ALL need to do our part! Giving is a COMMAND from God!
CHURCH ATTENDANCE: Our churches are not being weakened by the people who would like to be present and can't, but by the people who COULD be present and aren't! Attend church faithfully! John 4:24 says, You MUST worship God! Matthew 4:10 commands us, Worship the Lord, your God and serve Him only! Hebrews 10:25 says, Do not give up and stop meeting together as some are in the habit of doing. God doesn’t want your excuses, He wants your obedience!
