The Gathering Knowing God & Making Him Known STATEMENT OF FAITH

Our faith is the foundation upon which our life is built.

In Matthew 7:24, Jesus declared:

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock." In a similar vein, Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 3:11:

"For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ." TENETS OF FAITH

These are the tenets of faith as we see them -- the non-negotiable eleme

nts of a Biblical worldview. God
We believe that there is but one God, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, who is the Creator and Sustainer of all things visible and invisible, revealed in three Persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Father
We believe in God the Father, the Ancient of Days, who is not aloof from human history but who, through various covenants, has initiated relationship with mankind, and to whom we have now been reconciled through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ upon the Cross. Because of Jesus Christ, we too can now call God "Father." The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, His deity, His virgin birth, that He died, was buried and on the third day rose back to life, that He ascended to heaven and is now seated at the right hand of the Father. We believe that He is the eternal Son of God, for whom and by whom all things were created. The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit (as the third Person of the triune God) proceeded from the Father and the Son, and is of one substance, majesty and glory with the Father and the Son. The Holy Scriptures
We believe in the divine inspiration of the Holy Scriptures, as contained in the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, as the sole revelation of the mind and will of God, and we accept them in their original form as the divine Word of God. The Devil
We believe that the Devil, through temptation and deception, initiated the downfall of man and now seeks to destroy the faith of every believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and to hinder the further spread of the Gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ. Justification by Faith
We believe that it is impossible to attain salvation through self-effort, but that through simply believing in the atoning death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ and in acting out that faith through receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we receive the remission of all our sins, reconciliation with God and the gift of eternal life. We hold that the believer has an eternal salvation secured in Christ. Baptism in Water
We believe in fulfilling the command of Jesus to baptize believers into the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and that this baptism is symbolic of our death, burial and resurrection with the Lord Jesus Christ in His redemptive work on the Cross. Sanctification
We believe it is the glorious privilege of every believer in Christ to be made pure in heart and wholly sanctified by the operation of the Holy Spirit through the blood of Christ and the Word of God. A believer cannot be justified by works, but evidences that justification through works empowered by the Holy Spirit. The Church
We believe in the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, made up of all who have believed on the Lord Jesus and received the salvation of the Cross, and that this Church will come to the full expression of unity that can only be found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, according to the prayer of Jesus Christ in John 17. The Lord's Supper
We believe, in accordance with the command of the Lord Jesus, that we should celebrate this ordinance in remembrance of the atoning work of Christ and as an act of fellowship together. The Return of Christ
We believe in the physical second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, returning as He ascended, with power and majesty, to judge the dead and the living. Those not found in the Book of Life will be consigned to everlasting separation from God, described in the Scriptures as the Second Death. Those found in the Book of Life will enter into the glorious presence of God.

🙏🏽 COME HEAR — “THE SECRET PLACE” • PSALM 91

Isn’t it amazing how God can speak a Word to us—a verse, a Psalm, a chapter—and when we meditate upon it, it doesn’t just get TO us… it gets IN us!

It changes us. Rearranges us. Revives us. Renews us.

And then God desires to take what He has put IN us and allow it to flow THROUGH us—to OTHERS!

TO ME → IN ME → THROUGH ME → TO OTHERS!

“For faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” — Romans 10:17 NKJV

Come HEAR what God has for us from Psalm 91 tomorrow!

A morning moment to meditate on this day 🙂

Jeremiah 19:11
"and say to them, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts: "Even so I will break this people and this city, as one breaks a potter's vessel, which cannot be made whole again; and they shall bury them in Tophet till there is no place to bury."' "

Context of the Text -

God told the prophet Jeremiah to buy a clay flask from a potter and then shatter it before the leaders of Judah. The broken vessel was a visual sermon.
The people had:
1.Turned from God.
2.Filled the land with idolatry.
3.Shed innocent blood.
4. Refused repeated calls to repentance.

The shattered flask symbolized the severe judgment that would come upon Jerusalem through the Babylonian invasion.

The Meaning of the Broken Vessel
A potter can reshape clay while it is still soft (Jeremiah 18), but once the vessel is fired and hardened, if it is shattered, it cannot simply be remolded.

The picture is one of a people who had become hardened in rebellion and would experience the consequences of their choices.

Whenever the Lord gives you a word - it is to be "self " processing first ( God can get it to you but can it get it THRU YOU " .
SO at this point , what can be a personal takeaway?

There is both a warning and an encouragement:
Warning: Do not harden your heart when God speaks.
Encouragement: If God is convicting, correcting, or redirecting you, that is evidence of His mercy. He is still working with the clay.
As long as there is repentance, there is hope.
This pairs well with:
"Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts..." — Hebrews 3:15
And:
"A broken and a contrite heart—These, O God, You will not despise." — Psalms 51:17

For my ( possibly your) morning meditation, one question rises from Jeremiah 19:

"Am I remaining soft and teachable in the Potter's hands, or am I resisting His shaping work?"
The good news of Scripture is that God delights to show mercy to those who humble themselves before Him.

Notice " Humble YOURSELF " !
We're you thinking of someone else ?
Entrust them with Christ - and you draw near to God in His mercy & grace by faith.
He is able...
Have a blessed day 🙏🏽

John 15:13
Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Good morning!

“The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be…
and there is no new thing under the sun.”
— Ecclesiastes 1:9 (KJV)
Kingdoms rise.
Kingdoms fall.
Generations run—
yet the same questions echo through the halls of time.
Noah built.
Elijah stood.
Nehemiah rebuilt broken walls.
And still today, hearts wander searching for meaning beneath the sun.
More noise.
More knowledge.
More machines.
Yet the soul still thirsts for God.
And through the wisdom of Solomon comes the answer:
“Fear God and keep His commandments,
For this is man’s all.”
— Ecclesiastes 12:13 (NKJV)
So when history begins to rhyme again…
when darkness grows loud…
when the world spins faster than the heart can understand…
Be still.
Return to the secret place.
Build what matters: faith, family, truth, love, and obedience to Christ.
For under the sun, many things repeat—
But above the sun…
The throne remains occupied.
And Jesus Christ still is— and always has been— and forever will be:
“KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS” — Revelation 19:16 (NKJV)
The Almighty God.
The Alpha and the Omega.
The beginning and the end.
Nations change.
Cultures shift.
History echoes.
But Jesus Christ remains the same: yesterday, today, and forever.
