Bethlehem Church has roots going back over 175 years in the Methodist heritage, and hold it as an important element of our history. We meet in an historic building which reminds us of our past, yet we serve a living God so our mission is unfolding before us. While people from all over the suburban Philadelphia area join us, we believe we are central to the community of Thornton in which we are pla

nted. Most importantly, Bethlehem is a safe place for people who are looking for answers to their spiritual questions. It’s also a place where those who have decided to follow Jesus Christ can learn and be encouraged in their spiritual growth.

Worship isn't about feelings or traditions—it’s grounded in truth and embodied in spirit. When we focus more on the "shadows" (the tools, the traditions, the walls), we miss true worship.

But when our hearts are centered on the truth of God's Word, we respond to the fullness of who He is—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Paul isn't asking the church to build, manufacture, or make unity. Jesus already united us through the cross and the ministry of reconciliation!

Though as Christians we may have differing backgrounds, have different opinions on the non-essentials, we stand together on what's essential - Jesus. Our job today isn't to create unity; it's to protect and live out the oneness Jesus already won for us. ✝️🤍
