In these very troubled and troubling times, everyone needs a place of solace, peace and refuge. Our Lady has asked Catholics and by extension the whole world to pray her Rosary as the sure weapon against the evil of Communism. We, the Church Militant, must continue to fight under the command of Our Lady, she who can only do the Will of God, she who leads armies under her Son Jesus' banner, she who's Immaculate Heart will triumph. Pray the Rosary daily - as many as you are able. Pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet daily. Wear your Brown Scapular. Make the First Saturday Rosary Devotion. Make the First Friday Devotion. Make good confessions, do penance and amend your life so you can receive all the graces Our Lord Jesus happily showers down through His Mother and through His Church. Remain in a state of sanctifying grace. If you can't go to Mass, then read your Missal and pray the Rosary and contemplate the Mysteries that reflect how to live and endure life on this earth that we may earn eternal life in Heaven, in Jesus' and Our Lady's Kingdom. Our Lady came to Thornton all those years ago with a message of hope to her children, that praying the Rosary is the remedy to the evils and maladies that afflict our world. It is the same message she has given us Catholics through her apparitions in Quito, Locke, La Salette, Fatima, Akita, Betania, Kibeho, and many other places throughout the world, to a special cohort of persons, known and unknown, supported and maligned, celebrated and persecuted. Our Church, our country, our families, our communities - all need our prayers and Our Lady's intercession. She has asked simply that it be accomplished through the Rosary, God's gift to mankind through His Mother. Whether you can or cannot visit Our Lady's Chapel in Thornton for First Saturday Rosary devotion, we will all be blessed to pray together at 3:00 Pacific for: the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, True Peace in our world, the correct consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the conversion of Russia and China, restoration of all things in Christ, the eternal salvation of the souls of the Pope, clergy, religious and consecrated, and we laity, for our country and leaders, for religious freedom, the preservation and protection of family, the end to abortion, and the release of the Holy Souls in Purgatory, especially those most forgotten.
