Ever feel like your family situation is beyond repair?

Jacob's story reminds us that even in the messiest, most broken circumstances, God is actively weaving His purposes through the chaos.

Joseph's dreams weren't just teenage fantasies—they were prophetic glimpses of God's sovereignty.

While his brothers burned with jealousy and his father wrestled with doubt, heaven and earth were testifying to a divine plan unfolding behind the scenes. Jacob kept those dreams in his heart, recognizing that God was present even when everything felt like it was falling apart.

No matter what you're facing—big or small—remember that God is weaving His purposes through your brokenness.

What if the secret to true happiness isn't what you've been told?

Jesus teaches us in Luke 14 that real joy comes from radical generosity—giving to those who can never pay us back.

At a banquet with religious leaders, Jesus flipped conventional wisdom upside down.

Don't just invite those who can return the favor. Invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind.

Why?

Because that's exactly what God has done for us. We've been invited to an eternal banquet we could never afford, never repay, never earn.

Science is finally catching up: studies show that spending money on others actually promotes happiness and reduces stress.

Jesus said it 2,000 years ago: "It is more blessed to give than to receive."

When we recognize our spiritual poverty and accept God's gracious invitation, we become people of grace and generosity ourselves.

Freely you have received, so freely give.

Are you ready to accept the invitation and extend it to others?

Baptism is an important step of obedience after salvation. While baptism does not save us, it is a beautiful way to publicly declare our faith in Jesus and commitment to follow Him.

Come celebrate baptisms Sunday, May 24th after service with a BBQ to follow. Be sur to bring a side dish or dessert to share.

Don't look at your kids and say, I want them to follow the Lord. And then you're living a different way.

Ever felt God calling you to something, but you're living with one foot in and one foot out?

Jacob's story reminds us that full surrender to God's calling is where true blessing begins. When he finally arrived at Bethel, his whole family followed his lead in putting away false gods and stepping into God's purpose.

But here's the reality:

following Jesus doesn't mean life becomes easy.

Jacob faced devastating loss, family betrayal, and painful trials—even while walking in obedience.

The question isn't whether hardships will come—it's whether we'll turn toward God or away from Him when they do.

Have you ever felt God calling you to something specific, yet found yourself stopping just short of complete obedience? Perhaps you've taken a few steps in the right direction, only to settle somewhere comfortable but not quite where God intended. This is the story of countless believers—and it wa...
