Our new picnic tables are here and ready to be used! Thank you to our donors who made it possible to have these new picnic tables. Thank you to those who volunteered to build them. Our faculty and students are very appreciative and can’t wait to use them for outdoor learning or outdoor lunch!

Please join us on September 26, at 9 am for our LWMS rally where we will hear from Missionary Mark Schulz about his work in Africa. Never heard of LWMS? LWMS stands for Lutheran Women’s Missionary Society. If you want to learn more about the work they do, visit their website lwms.org.

LWMS is women dedicated to serving Jesus by increasing awareness of, interest in, and support of the mission outreach of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod.

A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided for those who attend. We would love to see you there!

Some churches teach that if a person follows God, God
responds by granting prosperity and peace, as would only
be expected. Today we see how that is nonsense. The
Bible explains that if we are part of the Church of God,
we will have to bear crosses.
We carry our crosses because we know that in those
moments of struggle, we are forced to turn to Christ and
rely on his strength.
Join us for worship as we explore an unexpected path,
the one Jesus himself walked: the cross comes before the
crown.
Our services are on Sundays at 8:00 am and 10:30 am. If you can’t make it on Sunday, we also have Monday night at 7:00 pm.

Come enjoy coffee, conversation, and breakfast treats. Around 10am, we’ll head out to explore the Louisville Farmers Market.

🍎Meet the Teacher Tuesday: Mrs. Smith🍎

This will be Mrs. Smith’s first year teaching at Lord of Life! After working in the corporate world with a background in environmental engineering for over 10 years, she had a longing to work with and mentor children. She loves seeing the joy children have for the world and watching as they grow and learn new skills.

Her favorite thing about being a teacher aide is showing the children that they are deeply loved and treasured. She has always felt young at heart, so it’s such a joy getting to play and be silly with the kids.

When she is not in the classroom, she enjoys getting outside with her family, whether it’s gardening, hiking, camping or just finding a new, local playground. Her and her husband have 3 kids who all attend Lord of Life and a rambunctious yellow lab named Gaston.

We are very excited to welcome Mrs. Smith to the Lord of Life staff and pray that she has a wonderful year as she shares her love and care with her students.

🔔Bible Study Opportunities🔔

Sunday Morning Bible Study (9:15–10:15am): This study is designed to deepen faith and shape Christian life.

Men’s Morning Study (Every other Tuesday, 6:00–7:00am): In this class, we work through a variety of biblical books and topics.

Tuesday Evenings (6:30–7:30pm): Beginning September 15, God and Me is a class covering the basics of the Bible and what we believe at Lord of Life Lutheran Church and School.

Wednesday Morning Bible Study (9:30–10:30am): In this class, we study Scripture from beginning to end.

Women’s Bible Study (Typically the third Sunday, 6:30–8:00pm): In this class, we work through a variety of biblical books and topics.
This study is designed to deepen faith and shape Christian life.

Jesus asked, “Who do you say I am?” It’s the most important question in the world, and it is a question every human being must answer.

Jesus is a real human being, the Son of Man. He is also Lord and Savior, the Son of the living God. This unexpected truth is the core of saving faith.

Join us for worship as we understand how Jesus is both true man and true God—an unexpected truth!

Services are Sunday at 8:00 am and 10:30 am. If you are unable to attend on Sunday, we have a Monday night service at 7:00 pm.
