The man born blind in John 9 was the subject of conversation before the miracle and after the miracle.

People talked when he was broken.

People talked when he was healed.

And the same is true for us.

If your goal is to get everyone to understand you, approve of you, or stop talking about you, you’ll spend your entire life exhausted.

People will have opinions.

They’ll have questions.

They’ll tell your story through the lens of their own experiences.

But transformation changes the conversation.

Not because people stop talking.

Because what they’re saying no longer matches who you’ve become.

The label that once defined you becomes irrelevant when God changes you from the inside out.

Salvation happens in a moment.

Transformation happens through daily obedience.

It’s choosing light when darkness feels familiar.

It’s listening to conviction instead of excuses.

It’s getting back up after failure and continuing toward the One who is making you new.

You can’t keep choosing darkness and calling it grace.

Grace doesn’t excuse bo***ge.

Grace empowers freedom.

Who are you becoming when nobody is watching?

Would the fruit in your private life prove that Jesus is transforming you?

We’re a generation that loves instant miracles.

But what if the thing standing between where you are and what God wants to do isn’t His willingness…

it’s your next step?

The blind man in John 9 received a touch from Jesus, but he still had to walk to the water.

Still blind.
Still uncomfortable.
Still covered in mud.

Jesus initiated the miracle, but the man had to keep moving.

Some of us have been waiting to feel better before we obey.
Waiting to feel healed before we worship.
Waiting to feel confident before we surrender.

But faith isn’t proven when everything makes sense.

It’s revealed when you keep walking in the direction God is leading, even while you’re still carrying questions.

Maybe the mud isn’t punishment.

Maybe it’s preparation.

What’s one step of obedience you’ve been delaying while waiting for God to do the whole thing for you?

You could feel it in the room.

People weren’t just singing.

They were letting go.

Letting go of labels.
Letting go of blame.
Letting go of stories they’ve carried for far too long.

Because when Jesus steps into the middle of your pain, He doesn’t just explain it.

He transforms it.

No more living from the worst thing you’ve survived.

Only the goodness of God and the freedom He promises.

Most people want strength.

But they don’t want the waiting.

We pray for breakthrough…
for direction…
for healing…
for open doors…

And when it doesn’t happen immediately, we start looking for another source.

Another answer.
Another solution.
Another way.

But God never promised strength for striving.

He promised strength for waiting.

📖 “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)

Waiting is not weakness.

Waiting is trust.

It’s choosing God’s timing over your own.
His wisdom over your emotions.
His promises over what you currently see.

The world says,
“Push harder.”

God says,
“Stay with Me.”

Because the strength you need isn’t found in working harder…

It’s found in remaining closer.

The eagle doesn’t soar because it flaps harder than every other bird.

It soars because it learns how to ride the wind.

And maybe that’s what God is teaching you right now.

Not how to strive.

But how to surrender.

Not how to force the outcome.

But how to trust the One who holds it.

If you’ve been feeling tired, discouraged, or ready to quit…

Don’t mistake the waiting season for God’s absence.

He is renewing you in the waiting.

And when the time is right,
you’ll rise higher than you ever could have in your own strength.

Some of us have spent years trying to answer one question:

“Why am I like this?”

Maybe you’ve traced it back to your childhood.
A parent who left.
Words that wounded.
A betrayal you never saw coming.

And while understanding the wound matters, many of us got stuck there.

Because what began as a diagnosis became an identity.

In John 9, the disciples saw a blind man and wanted someone to blame.

Jesus saw an opportunity for God’s power to be revealed.

That’s the difference.

Labels can explain where you’ve been.
But they were never meant to tell you who you are.

Too many people are living from the worst thing they’ve survived instead of the God who carried them through it.

You are not the angry one.
The broken one.
The fearful one.
The rejected one.

And the labels you’ve spoken over yourself are not prophecies.

Seek deliverance as passionately as you’ve sought explanations.

Jesus didn’t come to help you manage your chains.

He came to set you free.

What label do you need to stop carrying into your future?

What a night at NEXTGEN 3rd Hour 🔥

From powerful worship to a life-giving word, God moved in an incredible way. We’re so grateful for our special guests, The Elms, who led us into an atmosphere of worship and challenged us to go deeper in our faith.

Moments like these remind us that God is still changing lives, raising up the next generation, and drawing people closer to Him. We left encouraged, refreshed, and expectant for all that He has in store.

Who else is already counting down until the next 3rd Hour? 🙌

The mud people throw on you is meant to shame you.

The mud Jesus places on you is meant to heal you.

People use your past to embarrass you. Jesus uses your pain to reveal His power.

The crowd may look at the mud and assume you’ve been disqualified. But when Jesus is involved, what looks messy is often the beginning of a miracle.

The blind man wore mud on his eyes, not as a mark of humiliation, but as evidence that God was working. What others would have called embarrassing became the very thing that led to his breakthrough.

Never confuse the mud of public opinion with the mud of God’s purpose.

One is meant to bury you.
The other is preparing you to see.

No wall is too high. No obstacle is too strong. No situation is beyond God’s power.

The same God who brought down Jericho still moves mountains, opens doors, and makes a way where there seems to be none.

Keep walking in faith. What stands in front of you today is no match for the God who goes before you.

Jericho wasn’t just a wall. It was an obstacle standing between God’s people and God’s promise.

Maybe your Jericho looks like fear. Maybe it’s addiction, doubt, disappointment, anxiety, or a situation that seems impossible to overcome.

The good news? God never asked you to tear the walls down in your own strength. He asked you to trust Him, obey Him, and keep moving forward even when the breakthrough wasn’t visible yet.

Don’t quit on the sixth lap. Don’t lose faith because the wall is still standing. What God promised, He is faithful to complete.

The same God who brought down Jericho is still able to bring down every stronghold that stands in your way.

Keep walking.
Keep trusting.
Keep worshiping.

Your Jericho is not bigger than your God.
