Bible Study Recap: The Shield of Faith
Ephesians 6:16
Tonight we were reminded that faith is our defense against the attacks of the enemy. Satan may send fiery darts of doubt, fear, discouragement, and temptation, but when we hold up the Shield of Faith, those attacks lose their power.
Faith is trusting God even when we cannot see the outcome. It is believing God’s Word over our feelings and circumstances. The enemy wants us to focus on what we see, but faith keeps our eyes on what God has said.
We learned that our shield grows stronger through:
1. Spending time in God’s Word
2. Maintaining a consistent prayer life3. Remembering God’s past faithfulness
3. Fellowshipping with other believers
Just as Roman soldiers linked their shields together for protection, we are stronger when we stand together in faith.
Remember: Faith does not remove every battle, but it gives us victory in every battle.
1 John 5:4
“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”
Keep your shield up. Trust God. Stand on His promises. Victory belongs to those who walk by faith and not by sight!
