"Happy Jesus Christ" a welcome song that a military Band played in the 80's during my time in Korea. It was and is a joy to engage and worship with God's people from all Nations in the name of Jesus Christ. While our attention may be trained on avoiding or overcoming war between and among men, let us reframe and refocus on how to connect with the Prince of Peace. James wrote that wars and fights among us come from our desires for pleasure battling within us. We cannot get what we lust for, murder, and covet, even as we fight and war. Our desires to fight are promoted by issues that originate from within us. Pride generates many a tendency to wrong others and we should not defend our action claiming, "Self -defense". Some may want to plead "self-offense" as a reason for our misconduct. Yes, we are flawed human beings in need of a "make-over" to help ourselves and others. The death and resurrection of Jesus the Prince of Peace invites us to be change from the inside out to promote peace and unity for His Kingdom. Whatever our condition, position, or admonition, it's all about the love of Jesus, the LOVE that conquers ALL.
